Send a holiday post card to a soldier.
I just received this email, and I thought the folks here might get into something like this. When I was a kid, our school participated in "Mail Call VietNam", and I know those guys appreciated the thought...I got thank you letters from everyone I sent a card to. Check it out, there's a variety of cards (all designed by kids) and sentiments to choose from.

I want them home as much as anyone else, but while they're there, they need to know we're thinking of them. http://www.LetsSayThanks.com.

4. Why would I want to thank them for participating
in this illegal and immoral war?

6. You don't have to support the war, but you should support the troops.
Because they don't really get to choose the fight. They're just doing their jobs.

I have friends over there. I know a guy who was fucking maimed over there. Regardless of whether you support the war, you should support our troops. As far as I'm concerned that's part of being an American.

9. My bumper sticker says, "Support the troops.
Bring them home." I could not write to a servicemember without asking them to disobey their illegal and immoral orders. So my mail probably will not reach them.

10. This came through the company e-mail server -
"Thought I would share this with you. I believe this is legit as it links to the Xerox company and I've contacted the Xerox 800 number separately to have it confirmed as their website. Thanks, Pam

Something cool that Xerox is doing...

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com , you can pick out a
thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier
that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but
it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!

Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second. Wouldn't it
be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?"

I know lots of men and women who have been in Iraq and Afganistan. Sometimes it's just a matter of these little things that can make enough of an attitude change that they don't do something stupid that day.

11. I am sending mine in person this Christmas
My Son is home and unlike like last Christmas, I will be able to give him his card and present personally... He told me it is very very sad there at Christmas, so let's send out a boat-load of cards for these guys..... They miss home very much....
