Do you have a program to actually read you htaccess log? Webalizer, at least. It will tell you who those four people were. Personally, unless you see a hit from them, just getting four hits is meaningless. Could be Google or MSN spiders.
My site...well, I speak from experience. A couple of months ago, after a particularly scathing Bush cartoon, my traffic spiked as it tends to do when I hit a hot cartoon, and people start e-mailing it all over. Anyway, as I do most evenings, I poured through my hit counter, and found hits from the CIA, the Military High Command, a few blocked addy's from Langley, VA, the Treasury, The even the Center for Disease Control. I calm myself by remembering that there are tens of thousands of employees at these agencies, and perhaps they like looking at cartoons goofing on their boss just as much as the rest of us.
But, if you're really curious, and not afraid to find out what you'll find out, get a good stats program. Statcounter.com has a very nice free one that should fit your needs, as it only gives you your last 100 hits. Pay $10 a month, get a log of your last 1000 visitors, etc.
When you start seeing who is really looking at your web site, that's when you'll need a few more of these... :scared:
