Dead in Iraq this morning - 2928
Just a couple of days ago it was 2904. Americans dead in December - 38.

Over 400 Iraqis dead.

You know these numbers are low because the pentagon has been lowballing them. But even low is pretty bad.

And Bush intends to just stay the course.

1. No longer the "election dead". Now it's the "ISG dead" or rather the
"back to Stay the course" dead.

2. 2928 crimes, add to that all the US wounded
and the astromical number of dead and seriously wounded Iraqis!

It's almost impossible to wrap one's mind around it.

3. I have mixed feelings about citing only American dead.
I know that we share a special responsibility for troops from our nation who are supported by our taxes, but when "our" dead are so incredibly outnumbered by "theirs," it's hard not to lump them all together.

Hundreds of thousands dead for the oil barons, the other profiteers, and for Junior's vanity.

5. Over 400 Iraqi soldiers and civilians have been killed so far this month.
But that figure is probably way low - our govt. doesn't count a lot of the deaths in their figures.

4. Meanwhile the president finds the ISG report, 'interesting'.
While heads are being blown off and limbs are being left on the streets our arrogant killer-in-chief will get back to us when he feels the time is right or when it's politically expediant.
