1. I can't take it either - I am constantly in a state of disbelief and
absolute shock that nobody can stop this f-ing moron from completely destroying our country. It's unreal. I almost can't even talk about it because I get so angry and frustrated - it is beyond absurd at this point.

What is it going to take, for god's sake?!

25. It really is unbelievable, isn't it?
It's been six years. Six years of reading the paper every day and feeling like I'm being socked in the face as I read of yet another horribly un-American Bush action or statement. Six years of lies. Six years of that God-awful smirk on that stupid monkey face. Six years of right-wing crap telling me I hate America because I think Bush's Iraq War was a mistake. Six years of the vile Dick Cheney skulking around like some Bond villain, destroying everything he touches.

I've had it. Six years is enough. I want Bush and Cheney out. NOW.

3. He's putting the corporations in charge. That's why they hired him.
Nothing new, but I am with you, we need to impeach him just to stop his admin from adding to the damage he's already done.

The proposal to allow lead levels that could include leaded gasoline was the last straw for me. Now he's trying to hurt my unborn grandchildren and I take that very personal.

18. Why? He's finally starting to deliver.
This was the plan from 1994, but the R's didn't have the presidency. Then Bush got hung up with Iraq.

That was simply his first attempt to bring the corporate oil masters privatization of Iraq's oil.

Now he's in a hurry to pay-off the rest of the robber-barons.

13. The fear of recession is in the air...
Everyone given stocks as part of their compensation is probably wanting to realize the money they represent and get it places that are going to better weather the coming change.

There is advice all over the place to prepare for the thumping of stock prices of companies with no dividends and high price/earnings ratios.

5. Are we in a state of entropy?
Can we pull out of it in time to save this country and the planet's ability to support humans?

I worry.

8. I agree. I cannot think of any other U.S. president
Who has done so many detrimental things to our country. Even past presidents who may have had political differences with us, didn't seem so intent on completely disregarding what was good for our country and our citizens. He seems to have no concern for our future.

"to the victor go the spoils" and he is ensuring that we all know who that victor is. Fuck this asshole!

10. In the closing weeks of WW2...
some of the German generals wanted to evacuate those that could not fight, such as the elderly, and women and children. Hitler essentially responded that all of the good Germans had already died, so there was no need to waste resources evacuating anybody. Now let me say right off the bat, I am not comparing the chimp to hitler, though I believe, with the proper amount of public support, he certainly could have become as bad. What I am saying is that he simply does not give a fuck about the things that could make this country truly great for everyone, not just the corporatists/fascists, and so it shows with his actions.

19. he was handed a golden opportunity after 9-11
he had an opportunity few other presidents have had, 98% approval rating, a united Congress
and world support, now 5 years later, it is nothing but ashes due to HIM and all the president's cronies and his rubberstamp congress that cannot even do effective intervention
for one child predator let alone a terrorist and at what cost, the cost of thousands of lives
Iraqi, American soldiers and contractors in Iraq and the innocent victims of Hurricane Katrina.

as he spreads worthless paper on ever increasing misadventures and when the Country goes bankrupt the debtors will collect the public assets of this country in payment.

17. It's amazing.
Even now, after the damning ISG report - co-authored by a family friend - he still has the nerve to consider himself in charge.
I have to wonder also; what will it take??
Why is this guy still in our house?
I suppose our best course action, at least, is to continue to keep the heat on our elected reps to pursue impeachment.
Beyond that, there should be a gigantic public demonstration demanding accountablity for the damage already done.
He has to go NOW!!

But that would never happen.

He is a sick, sick man and he is dangerous to our country.

24. If the Congressional leadership gets serious about impeachment. . .
Edited on Sun Dec-10-06 01:29 PM by pat_k
. . .it would give those who may be very eager to usher them out an excuse to do so "for the good of the party" -- to take the http://journals.democraticunderground.com/pat_k/12">resignation "exit strategy" to ensure WH stays in Repub hands.
