1. Did they take Kenny's passport and tag him with a radio transmitter yet?
They sure as hell better!

2. With Causey flipping, Ken Lay is probably ready to deal now
Maybe that's what the delay is about.

5. Ostensibly, the delay is
to allow Kennyboy's lawyers time to "prepare" for Causey's testimony.

Realistically, it also provides the Feds an opportunity to lean on Kennyboy a little more.

3. Up side: Maybe he won't go to trial until a DEM is in the WH
Edited on Wed Dec-28-05 04:18 PM by havocmom
and he gets no shot at pardon? Would the shrub pardon Kenny-boy (who he said he barely knows) prior to a trial? Would the people storm the WH if he did?

12. I don't think even Junior would be that stupid
It would be an unmitigated disaster for him, and he can't afford another one. Ex-Enron employees would riot. Only Dennis Kozlowski would think it was a good idea.

Maybe the family of that enron guy who was suicided can get his name cleared, too.

15. First he'd give up Phil and Wendy Gramm and Kay Bailey-Hutchison ...
... who took payola to pave the way through the federal regulations.

8. In all of this, there's one thing that my intuition screams at me.
It is that Jeffrey Skilling knows a lot more about Cliff Baxter's death than he has admitted. I watched him testify before Congress, right after Baxter's murder, and my gut told me he was lying through his teeth. Skilling was about as convincing as was baby killer Susan Smith, when she tried to convince authorities and the media that her two little boys had been kidnapped.

13. I think you are right
My gut says a suicide it wasn't. There were just too many things that pointed to foul play. Too many things--the wrong kind of ammo, the amount of Ambien in his system, unusual lettering style of the "suicide" note--and just after he agreed to testify before Congress . . .

"The trial against Lay and Skilling has been scheduled to start Jan. 17, but may be delayed."

At least when they go to trial they'll have damaging testimony from others involved.

14. No matter what Causey says...
he plead guilty because he WAS guilty, and knew that, at trial, the book would get thrown at him.
