if we just endure & tolerate bush's tyranny then we might as well give up
when bush failed to protect us on nine eleven, we just accepted it and moved on, no one was taken to task, but given medals of freedom. this after he had stolen the election, and nobody did anything but whine. then he started two illegal wars, and stole a second election and we just endured it, and we endure his corprate corruption and piracy and we tolerate his declaration of dictatorship.

as long as we simply endure each bush atrocity and treasonous act, then we are doomed to simply scurry around like chickens with their heads cut off while they steal everything that's not bolted down.

1. Unfortunately, the levers of power are all in their hands
Edited on Wed Dec-28-05 11:45 AM by MN ChimpH8R
Congress is filled with bootlicking Bushbots that would vote for their own execution if Cheney demanded it, the media ignores the facts, the Reichwing Noise Machine drowns out any semblance of rational debate, and as for direct action, as George Carlin long ago said "The Army has flamethrowers. We don't. Looks like we're fucked if we have to go up against the Army."

It used to be that the scoundrels could be voted out, as the 'pukes were in 1974 post-Watergate, but whether that is even possible any longer I doubt. And anyone who raises enough hell about things just might find themselves disappeared to Gitmo or the New Gulag.

3. I fear if something doesn't happen
people will explode with anger. We're already seeing people who are suggesting violence is the only way to deal with the situation. The whole point of the Constitution, fair elections, etc, etc, is to make it so there doesn't have to be a revolution every time things start going bad in this country. People on both side of the aisle have to be willing to work together for the good of the country to avoid this from happening again.

5. Not at all. Our number one strength, we outnumber them 10 to one.

Probably more so. The important thing now is to come together and not allow the Administrations "Democratic" infiltrators and chaos instigators to continue and sabatoge our progress.

6. But it's not a numbers game anymore
Edited on Wed Dec-28-05 12:48 PM by MN ChimpH8R
it's a perception and spin game. 300,000 people march against Chimpco in Washington. In the corporate media, this event never happened and had no importance whatsoever. The Imperial Chimptard comes out and ADMITS to an impeachable offense, and says he's gonna keep on doing it. Nothing happens and nothing will happen. The Chimp will keep using the Constitution as toilet paper. And most people don't care. Part of the genesis of this is the policies that have been pursued for the last 25 years (some of them under Clinton, too). People are so challenged just to get by, and are so in thrall to mindless materialism and imbecilic popular entertainment, that they don't want to think about hard questions like where the country is going. They are the classic frogs in a kettle.

There are two central problems. One is that a substantial percentage of the American populace is utterly ineducable; many in this group are the religiously insane, the rest are motivated by an unending, bottomless greed that can never be sated; (2) With the death of the fairness doctrine and the takeover of the mass media outlets most people use as news sources by corporate masters, there is no way to get to the people who might be willing to consider more progressive policies if they ever heard about them. CNN, Fux and the major networks MAKE SURE that this will never happen, or will be immediately debunked or spun in the unlikely event a non-whore makes a valid point.

We're doomed.

2. I agree. What do we do?
I have been thinking about this lately. I have to do more to stop this mess. My daughter and her daughter are depending on me--on us--to do something. It is our responsibility. But, what? Remember the Washington march? It was barely covered in the media, and when it was covered, the numbers were minimized--they lied about it.

Writing letters: falling on deaf ears
voting: diebold
protest: ignored

I am frustrated and frozen as the daily bombardment of lies and distortion, and attack on our values continues. What can we do?

4. Bush the worlds dictator
Bush is the worlds dictator. He has a answer for everything, never makes any sense, but he has an answer. It gets me how low our economy has gone. History shows that during wartime our economy was usually good. I wonder why not this time. I am sure he has an answer. Hopefully when his reign is done, Hillary can return this country to where it was before George W. His quick (yeah right) response to hurricane Katrina shows his true non-caring side. Anyone else hate his smirk?

7. We are doing fine man, at Least FOX sez so!
It's the rest of the world that's been japed by the forked tongued GOP japers, japery and the twisted corporate media is mixed up in it ALL, up to their greedy little ears. I believe that mass paranoia is going to do the neorat-pack in, because, Bush's own party leaders, may also have been spied on and they all know it, in the backs of their tiny, narrow, minds. Anyone with even as much as a single semi-functional brain cell, can see that Bush is a chronic LIAR and that he can't be trusted period, now! By anyone...including the ass kissing GOPer chumps and chumpettes around DC town!

2006 is going to be crazy beyond belief, IMHO, so you'd better buckle up.
