Did anyone see the anti Wall Mart ad? An employee states she would
have to work at WM for 1000 years to make what WM's CEO makes in 1 year.

Makes a damn good point, and there lies the main problem IMHO. Executive compensation is so totally out of hand its obscene.

2. If I worked at a place for 1,000 years,
and never got a raise and a promotion, I'd start looking for a new job.

4. Kinda hard to do when they've killed off all other
places and WalMart is the only game for 100 miles around.

5. That would be a wise move, but if WM were your only choice?
what then?

7. Maybe it's just the area I live in...
but I live or work not too far from 4 different Walmarts. All of them have a Target, K-mart, BJ's, or a good sized mall within about 1/8th of a mile of it. I can see how in the short term, Walmart might be the only job available to someone, but how would Walmart be someone's only choice for employment for an extended period of time?

3. Saw the ad just about half an hour ago.
And yes, executive compensation/bonuses are WAY out of hand. What really pisses me off is when they get these obscene bonuses for putting a lot of people out of work.
