1. I'm with you, absolutely
The media are trying to call the race before the candidates are even decided.

I'd be happy if the media and the public would put the whole presidential thing on hold and worry about how much damage this next congress will be able to repair that has been done over the last 6+ years.

Focus, people.

2. I'm fascinated by the wall-to-wall 2008 coverage on cable news.
I don't remember an election covered this breathlessly this early. It's like the coverage of the 2006 election never really stopped but just segued into 2008. The unspoken theme is "Who will replace the Chimp and how much better will they be?"

These media clowns are actually hurting democracy by not letting the process go forward without their "help" in smearing everyone with an idea.
