Scarborough RIPPING on Bush tonight
Comparing him unfavorably to LBJ and Nixon...stunned that Abizaid is leaving, apparently over being overridden about the 'surge'...disgusted about the isolation and delusions of the monkey-in-chief. This is amazing to watch - he's just furious. The bottom is dropping out for Bush and this morning's presser is the final nail.

8. the revolt is coming...
They did everything but say the money word - CRAZY.

It's becoming obvious even to the most hardcore Republican that Bush has lost his frickin' mind. And they're getting very close to openly saying it - which opens the door to his being removed from office for his sociopathic behavior.

more and more the talking heads are using the language of therapy to describe Bush's actions......

28. Forget Joe! Have you heard Tweety lately?
Matthews' hair was on fire on Hardball yesterday, asking his guests whether it's possible that the warring parties in Iraq have legitimate, thought-through grievances and we are the ones who "don't get it". He sounded really mad.

"Why do we always think that we have a higher IQ than everyone else?" Great stuff.

Between KO, Tweety, and the New Joe, my TV is on MSNBC 90% of the time.

16. 25th Amendment
U.S. Constitution: Twenty-Fifth Amendment

Twenty-Fifth Amendment - Presidential Vacancy, Disability, and Inability

Amendment Text | Annotations

Section 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Section 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

19. I missed that part. What I heard was Joe ripping Jon Stewart
and The Daily Show. Scarborough said despite being on "thousands" of shows, he had "never been treated as rudely as he was on The Daily Show." Really? What happened? Did Stewart ask him questions he couldn't answer? Was the studio audience not properly adoring? I watch The Daily Show all the time and I've never seen Jon Stewart treat anyone rudely. He's always very polite and doesn't ambush people. So, I was very surprised tonight to hear Scarborough attack Stewart not only for being "rude" but for being an ideologue.
I think Joe's jealousy is showing.

26. I was in shock watching that show last nigt.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They all seem to be truly frightened by the fact that Bush has lost his mind. That was the first time I heard on the MSM that Bush is delusional, doesn't know what he's saying, he's frightening, etc.

Scarborough even said if Clinton had done the things Bush did, the congress would've been considering impeaching him.

To think that there are some people who don't want to impeach Bush because of what the repubs did to Clinton. What Bush is doing is exactly the reason why we have the option of impeachment.

The man is insane and needs to be driven out of office or forced to resign (and take Cheney with him).

So Joe Scab-burrow is upset? BFD - he voted for President Caligula twice and supported the Iraq fiasco, so what's the problem, Joe - you got what you wanted. If we're so smart at DU - i.e. able to figure out that Gov. Assclown of Texas would not make things better as President Assclown years before Joe - then why don't we all have our own television contracts?

So Tweety has apparently discovered that the sky is blue, grass is green and fried potatoes are brown. Whoopee - that doesn't make up for years and years and YEARS of tear-stained mash notes to Bush's Massive Manly Unit Presidency and endless derision, snorts and smears against Democratic leaders of all stripe - Dean, Gore, Kerry, pick a name.

Fuck Scarborough, fuck Matthews, fuck ALL of the Beltway Kool Kidz.

Fuck them all.

33. Agree....getting sucked into their "turn abouts" only allows us to "think" something
is changing with their reporting. Mostly it's about them getting behind the newest candidate that will reflect their interests. Either a Dino Dem or another Repug. They are corporate whores who read Repug Talking Points.

They still have imbalance in the airtime they give to Dems. Tweety has Joe Trippi on with a Repug Guest and Trippi gets a few seconds to refute the Repug while the Repug raves on. I guess Tweety would claim that by being a moderator he balances things...but he doesn't. The Dem is always in the weak position by not having enough time to get a complete thought out.
