Bush warns of more U.S. losses in Iraq

WASHINGTON - Acknowledging deepening frustration over Iraq,President Bush said Wednesday he is considering an increase in American forces and warned that next year will bring more painful U.S. losses. New Defense Secretary Robert Gates said in Baghdad that a troop surge was an obvious option.

Bush was unusually candid at a year-end news conference about U.S. setbacks and dashed hopes in the war, which has claimed the lives of more than 2,950 U.S. military members.

He said "2006 was a difficult year for our troops and the Iraqi people. We began the year with optimism" but that faded as extremists fomented sectarian violence between Sunnis and Shiites.

1. So glad he's willing to sacrifice so much from others for his hubris.

6. Maybe so, but then we 'turned the corner'...
...and had to 'stay the course'...or maybe it was 'adapt to win'.
I've lost track. :sarcasm:

8. Busholini, tell your daughters and nephew to join the Marines
While you are at it tell your base to do so, also.

9. Oh, he already addressed that the other day
seriously, well, as serious as you can be when your are DERANGED.

He explained that his daughters ARE DOING THEIR PART, one in South America working with folks down there, and another helping kids somewhere in a school, that we all help in our own ways.

My answer would have been, Okay, so then the TROOPS CAN DECIDE HOW THEY want to 'do their part'?

Like Travel to South America and get so fucking loaded on booze that our OWN EMBASSY demands they return to the US?

Doing their part, he had the NERVE to say that.

SIGN them UP. Maybe we could slip a carbon copy of an enlistment form between two sheet of paper that require a signature by them both for a FREE YEAR'S SUPPLY OF JACK DANIELS, And a FREE HUMMER for EACH OF THEM, along with a new wardrobe, new friends, the chance to travel to exotic places, meet new and interesting People, and KILL THEM. :)

I wonder if they're even smart enough to pass a test in the Military for Placement, unlike their father where they had to FUDGE Flight ability numbers to keep his ass NEAR defunct planes..
