Bush to mull Iraq strategy over holidays
Bush to mull Iraq strategy over holidays

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - While spending the upcoming holiday week at Camp David and his Texas ranch, President Bush will hold high-level meetings on Iraq as he gets ready to unveil a fresh strategy in the new year, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said on Friday.

Bush, who is mulling a short-term boost in U.S. troop levels in Iraq among other ideas, will receive a briefing from new Defense Secretary Robert Gates on Saturday who will have just returned from a two-day trip to Iraq this week.

As they usually do, Bush and his wife, Laura, will spend Christmas at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland, then travel to the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas the day after Christmas.

As the death toll in Iraq crept toward the 3,000 mark, Bush visited wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

But as his helicopter landed in a field near the medical center, a house across the street displayed signs saying, "Bush lied, Innocents died" and "Peace on Earth."

Hey, GW, y'all let us know when you've gotten in figured out, OK?

I'll bet he doesn't think about Iraq for 10 minutes between now and whatever date in January he decides to show up again in the Oval Office.

4. Imagine FDR during WWII saying, "I have no fucking idea what to do!"
"I have to take another month-long vacation and host 24 holiday parties and mull it over. I just don't know. I've asked generals and other important people, but Unka Dick is the only one telling me what gawd wants me to hear. I don't know what to do. Have you tried the Mexican dip?"

6. Well said.
He's utterly clueless.

And the MSM won't call him on it.

And certainly not the people of this nation.

Bushler to eat, sleep, get drunk, and fuck his dog Barney under the x-mas tree while singing "Yankee Doodle."

7. Bush is hoping that someone else is going to come up with a
plan to get him out of the mess in Iraq. If this does not happen he will toss a coin.

Do you think the Decider will make better decisions when he's drunk, or has he been secretly drunk all along?

12. Oh, no, buddy -- there are NO holidays for you. Your job comes first. The troops come first.
The troops' anxious families come first. The innocent Iraqis whose lives have been turned upside down come first. Just say it: "I've made a mistake against humanity & I hereby order all troops home. I surrender now to the custody of the U.S. Marshalls."

How dare you put everyone's lives, especially those in harm's way, on hold until after the holidays.

13. 6 more dead GIs today while he "mulls" how to make it look like a "victory".
Or, is it "success"? "Progress"? "Winning"?

Not to mention the dead Iraqis who aren't worth his "mulling".

If there were any justice, he'd have plenty of time to "mull" while wearing an orange jump suit.

14. People scrambling around trying to find a way for defeat to not look like defeat
for crimes to not look like crimes, for lies to not look like lies....

Never mind a little truth could save lives....the truth is ugly and must be avoided no matter how many more people have to die...because the truth demands accountability. It demands justice.

America invaded a country for lies, deception and greed...
America tortures...
America illegally detains people - indefinitely and without charge..
America maintains secret prisons...
America kidnaps people and flies them to places where they will be tortured..that's what "extraordinary rendition" is

America will play the "we're trying" game with all these reports and suggestions and fact finding missions....America will let more people die just to maintain the illusion that America has done nothing criminal.

the US government will blame

the Iraqis - by claiming they won't "stand up"
the American people - for not supporting the war enough
the troops - for failing at the mission (never mind they have been used and abused by a criminal government that started a "war" for lies)

The government will blame anyone and everyone BUT the guilty....because to go after the guilty means others will have to answer for not stopping Bush before now....and that means many in Congress will have to answer for their inaction and their complicity and their enabling of Bush.
