Poppy: "Give spare change from shopping" Babs: "working for God doesn't pay much...
but brings great returns"
(just heard those pearls on the news on Air America)
I guess when God "appoints" your son as POTUS, it's a pretty good return. For what again?

1. They were on "This Week"
Talking about the Salvation Army and volunteering and working for the Lord ... and I wanted to throw up! :puke:

3. Last time I looked, working for "god" pays very handsomely
It's been enough to get Robertson a TV network and allow his tentacles into every shady deal in Africa and every political arm of the GOP.

In fact, I see very few men of "god" living as though they meant that vow of poverty.

These sharks are so shameless!

10. And so full of that which normal people flush.
They embrace it. It is all they have to offer humanity.

7. All I could think of was Babs and her contemptuous remark
about the Katrina survivors holed up in a shelter ("And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this, this is working very well for them.")

2. What a waste of life.
These two have done little with their time and money except spend it on themselves.

5. Well, that's okay for them.
Spare change from shopping has more value for some of us than others. And some of us work enough hours that we really don't have the energy to jump right out there and volunteer.

...Now if I only got at work at, say 9 or 10, worked a couple of hours at the old desk, had an hour lunch, worked a couple of more hours, connected and hobnobbed out on the private golf course for a couple of hours and maybe another hour or two in the clubhouse over cocktails, I might do some volunteer work also.

6. What is it with these filthy rich
morons and shopping? They must truly believe that everyone has the wherewithal to shop until they drop with "spare change" left over for the poor. A couple of graduates of the Marie Antoinette compassionless school of high living.

8. Thanks. I was looking for a comment like this - didn't quite find my words.
The way they say things is so revealing of their inner ugliness - it's scary!

back in the 90's. that didn't play out too well for him either. The bush clan is 100% out of touch, and yet they still hang on for decades.

They can thank Satan for a corrupt Supreme Court and Diebold, et al.

13. Remember when one of the men in Bush's motorcade was injured (later died)
and Bush, compassionate conservative "Christian" that he is - actually gave him a "PRESIDENTIAL COIN"?

Reminded me of "A Tale of Two Cities" when one of the nobles runs over a peasant's child in his carriage and throws a coin out the window to compensate.

19. It adds up, but those whose 'leftover change' amounts to dollars and not pennies,
would do far more far more quickly for far more people. Including Americans, since most 'philanthropy' is done everywhere BUT America... (the cynic in me conjures up some cynical thoughts...)

20. If working for god doesn't pay much, how come all the right-wing christian conservative
televangelists are multi-millionaires? Guess you CAN fool some of the people all of the time after all.

9. SPARE change? Lord, if you're rich you should be giving thousands of
dollars to the poor. Pennies just won't do.

I didn't see these two losers today, I guess I didn't miss anything.

What I want to know since most people pay with plastic what spare change are they talking about and what decade are they refering to . I don;t either one of these freaks has been out in public since the late 40's or 50's .

Yeah this is the way things used to be when change added up to enough to buy a damn candy bar .

23. Working for Satan like the Bushes do
Allows you to send your offspring down to Argentina for the holidays. Nothing says "bored and filthy rich" quite like a drunken, naked binge in a foreign capitol.

Odious people. Their stench overlays so much of America. It'll take generations to clean them out of the fabric of our nation.
