My naughty X-Mas plans
My vision of a perfect Christmas morning-- ... opening presents with the kiddies 'neath the pretty tree... perhaps a little figgy pudding.

Then outside to drink a frothy hot chocolate and read the NYT. I'm in Houston, Texas, and the weatherman says it will be in the 60's-- perfect for a nice fire in our outside fireplace.

This morning I was planning ahead for my perfect Christmas morning. For my fire, I saw at the grocery store that small bundles of firewood were going for $2.99. Meanwhile, I recalled that at my local "Value Village" second hand store there were hardback books, normally $.75, going for half price.

Among these books were many, many, many Rush Limbaugh books. Apparently no one wants them. There were also some "Left Behind" books (including "Left Behind For Children") and a Ronald Reagan coffee table book. I also saw "Standing Firm" by Dan Quayle.

I bought a bunch. Not all, though, in case someone actually wants to read these things. In all, I bought 16 books, for $.37 each. Pound for pound cheaper than firewood.

I think you know where I'm going with this.

Merry Christmahannukwanzukah everyone!!!

and seeing as you left some for those who want to read them, a good liberal live and let live solution!

10. Burn, baby, burn!

I'm inspired to get a couple of Rush's rejects myself for the annual wrapping paper bonfire. Sort of an offering to the gods of the new year.

17. Caution- Even the smoke from their burning words contains toxins.
Republicans want to burn the truth.

Democrats want to burn the lies.

Go for it!

23. Hey, Sugar Smack!
Merry, merry to you! Hope you have a happy and healthy holiday -- mine's over already!

Have a wonderful New Year as well -- 2007 should be a better year for all of us.

Are you going to the march in January? I'm still thinking about it, but I think I'll probably wind up sitting this one out. The weather is too unpredictable for me this time of year.

32. Happy Holidays to you
Heck, I'm in The Woodlands and would have gladly contributed an Ann Coulter book or two. :)

I work in our library gift shop and they manage to come in from time to time. They never sell.

(Although there is that book burning thing -- ah never mind go for it! )

Have a great time!
