I step back , this can't be reality
Everytime I look at where we are and what has happened in the last 6 years alone , I really try to look at it and take it all in I just can't believe this is real and not some sort of long nightmare .

There are all the blogs and liberal talk shows all trying to keep up with the endless waves of issues as they unfold each and every single day . We read and listen and think , before we can allow for this to sink in along comes something else , we start all over again trying .

This just does not seem real to me anymore even though I know it is .

It has been one loss after another to the point where what is really left other than a faint bit of hope .

Yes we won the house and senate but this does not seem to me to be enough .

1. It is enough for now until we see/hear what happens. Have faith! nt

3. Faith don't cut it, anymore.
We must see some action.

Quick and ruthless.

As the Boy would say, "We will let the Historians ponder the splatter patterns".

Straight-razor time.

16. our government reflects our citizen's collective neglect
in involving themselves in the legislative process, from bills and appropriations to judicial and Executive appointments.

It's unrealistic to expect our government to respond to every instigation from us, but, we are the fuel that should motivate them into action. Boots back on . . .

2. Gotta start somewhere.
The elections were just the beginning. We were about to run right over a cliff and the elections pulled us back from the abyss. No now we have to turn around and renounce everything that got us there, and it won't be easy -- but just the fact that we pulled back from the abyss is something to celebrate.

4. It's not over until we know Bush won't attack Iran.
If Bush goes off the deep end, the last six years will be nothing more than a test run for the maelstrom Bush will unleash by launching a bombing campaign against Iran. China will be pissed we are threatening her oil investments in Iran and could send the value of the US Dollar tumbling to send America a warning message, and the US economy will take a beating as gas prices go up to 5 dollars/gallon or even higher. Economic chaos ensues.

10. I know there are ships out there, but I think dimson is posturing. He
is wedged into a tiny little corner now; whatever he does will fall on other ears, not deaf ones. His surge will be disavowed, but it remains to be seen how much power he really has. His political capital is spent, and I'm hoping it's downhill from here on in.

5. i know what you mean
if you absorb it all, it hurts too much. So our survival mechanism kicks in, and we "can't believe it's real" or it's "some sort of long nightmare". It's getting harder and harder to cope with reality.

and i'm so sick of hearing about faith and hope these past few days!

6. It all began in 2000, then another shock in 2001, then another in 2002, then another
in 2003, then another in 2004, and it just continues down hill. Every year these men have been in power, the people of the World have suffered as much if not more than we have. But we carry on, keep trying, and we keep getting stepped on.

I have a hard time believing in a God, but I know a Devil when I see one. Remove the "D" from Devil and all you have is "evil" and that is what we have lived with the past six years. Not just one man but several, whom together have created this pain, bloodshed, and pure hatred of this country by the World and continued division of the American People.

Yeah, it's been like a friggin nightmare to me too!

Great movie! I wondered how close the whole Skull & Bones thing was to what actually goes on.

11. I will see it soon. But tell me; does it concentrate on
PNAC at all? I heard the S&B was in there, but I can't figure out how.

8. This is the most corrupt administraion in history
We're not going to know how bad W has fucked-up this country until 10 years down the road. I think it's pretty safe that this will dwarf what Nixon, Bush 1, and Reagan did combined..

14. I understand what you mean
I was elated at our victory in November but I am still not really sure that the dems fully comprehend what has been happening. If they don't come out of the gate strong I don't know what can happen. And it has to more than things like raising the minimum wage it has to be the difficult stuff like tackling real health care reforms, insisting on bringing the troops home soon not a year from now and seriously unveiling the crimes of this administration. They have to do this quickly before all anyone can talk about is '08. They have to show that they 'get it' and are there to represent us. Even if they get a veto they still have to try so the people know they understand. So damned much has happened if they wanted to scare us they have succeeded because it all really scares me, we won't recover from what they have done for decades in the Middle East or at home.

15.  I hear you
I look around and see that alot has been damaged to the extent that as you said it will take decades and even then we seem to have passed the point of no return in the sense that thing probably will never be the same ever again .

I realize that things change and seem to have to since there is this mindset of industrial progress and not all of this is for the better .

I know the world I grew up in is gone and I don't recognize it or feel part of it anymore . The millenium rushed in and drastically altered everything we had counted on as the norm .

I don't need terrorist threats to scare the hell out of me , just the insecure world we now live in does the job just fine . Living in uncertainty and doubt is the terror I now feel .
