I have a dream -- or perhaps a nightmare.

And it's based upon a form (or fantasy?) of reincarnation for mass murderers such as Bush and Cheney.

After they pass on, my wish for them (if there is such a thing as an afterlife) is that they have to live out the last days in the bodies and minds of every single person whose death they caused.

I wish the same for every tyrant who has ever lived on the face of the earth, subjecting others to horrible deaths, and feeling the agony and the suffering of their loved ones.

Perhaps, this might be the true meaning of "Do unto others..." Some might call this a lust for revenge, or out-and-out cruelty. However, this "after-life fantasy" might hold a hint to the true meaning of the word "justice."

1. Well,
there are many who say that at the time of your death, your whole life flashes in front of you. But I've heard it defined more specifically; your whole life is displayed before you as the stark truth, with all blinders of justification, etc, stripped away. And all the repercussions of your actions are shown as well. Think on this-Bush, stripped of any justifications, any enablers, any mental blindfolds, seeing what he has done....

2. Your view is as intimidating as the fantasy I proposed. But either way,
each scenario would be a frightening prospect.

As a devout agnostic, I don't pretend to know what comes next, if anything.

We rarely see "justice" come about on this planet and in this life. But if the term "justice" has any meaning at all, it might be comforting to know that you really didn't get away with anything in your time spent at this time in this place.

Yeah, I know that's getting kinda' metaphysical, but sometimes that seems to be the only way that our sense of justice could come to fruition.
