Hussein Execution Wrong

I am far from being a fan of the man as I believe him to be a dictator and a murderer. However, we can accomplish nothing by executing him and making him a martyr. This will only exacerbate the violence in Iraq and put American interests into further danger.

It is sad to see this country stoop to the level of that of a third world nation in its so called expedition of "justice." Saddam Hussein should have been put on trial at the Hague like Milosevic was. His trial in my view was a total farce and media circus, and therefore, so is this sentence. If we as a nation wished to set ourselves apart from those that merely seek revenge this was the perfect time to show it.

While I am no fan of Hussein's, he could just as easily have been sentenced to rot in a hole for the rest of his natural life and it would have been more just than this GD media display just to try to make the torturers and murderers in this regime look as if they did something right. Never forget that picture of Donald Rumsfeld shaking his hand when Hussein was then their boy.

This is simply wrong and I will take no glee in it. What a horrible way to end this year. Being looked upon as a nation no better than a banana republic. I truly do not have a good feeling about this. I weep for the soul of my country that is no more.

Do you have anything to back up what you have to say or are you just making this up as you go along?

And actually watching what is going on in Iraq. There's been enough bloodshed. I say, ENOUGH. He should be rotting in a cell in the Hague a lonely forgotten man to allow God to deal with him. He is also one of many dictators spawned by our own CIA, so if anything should come out of this it is THE WHOLE TRUTH, but we know that isn't coming anytime soon. However, if you think it will accomplish anything worthwhile, knock yourself out backing yourself up.
