And now, for a word from Bush's "base"
I found this gem of a letter to Bush on congress.org today.

Subject:
To the President

To:
President George Bush

February 28, 2006

Dear, Bush I know you are a busy man but I think you soiud make more time for the people and not for golf just becuse you got your 2nd and last term in the white house does not meen you can ture your back on the people. I like you as a President I even voted for you. I thaink that you sould attack the country that it makes sence to attack and that is Iran even if the chiness says that the are going to be on there side lits face it if they tride to go to war with us in any way we would stop all inporting of their goods and they know that so they are not going to fight along side off them you will not see on sing Chinnes man or woman on the battlefield the only thing China might do is suport them financeoly there for we will win the war and back the Chinnes country. The only thank other than Iran that I would worry about is Korea I hate that little korean man I would have no prob to join the army just to get the chance to shoot at that little basterd.

Haubstadt , IN

1. Oh dear God
I can't believe they would actually post that. Just too damned funny, I used to think that Moran was as bad as it got but this most likely alcohol induced tirade is just priceless. Glad to see the base is offering up such gems.

Seems his knowledge of world politics is right up there with Stupid in chief though.

9. he forgot to write anything about the Lord bein' on OUR side
I'm also a congress.org cruiser! :)
Some of the letters are heart-breakers,real People in the Heart of the USA,at their wits'end, many times. In fact, I have connected with Soldiers and their FAMILIES at that site, have been able to do some advocacy work for them, and made some PRECIOUS Friendships.

Bringing out the pride and glory of America, and filling the U.S. Government with so much intellectual wisdom displayed in that message. :sarcasm:

16. Ah wuz burn ah rayudnik and kin say thius authoritatively. ....
yawl no what tha' deth cry of tha rayudnik ius?

Hay yawl, watch thius!!!! Whereupon, said redneck tries to do something extremely stupid and succumbs to the darwin effect - survival of the fittest (smartest). I've barely escaped that fate myself more times than I like to remember.

Really tho, I am apalled at what I see my redneck brethren agreeing to. I just spent a couple of hours 'on the stoop', talking to and listening to the families who live around me (most of whom are military), discussing Iraq. None of them WANT to go, some of them have been told they have to, and they are going. These guys and gals believe in honoring their oaths. However, I have noticed that the black folks refuse to volunteer to go. If they are ordered to do so, they will go. But they will not volunteer. Some of the white and latino guys volunteered - there are powerful financial incentives being offered for those who volunteer.

Thank god I'm 46 and at the bottom of the draft list....

If the shrub decides to invade Iran, I don't see how it can be done without a draft, which will end GOP dominance for the next 20 years. (see Vietnam quagmire...)
