(Indian) PM teases Bush for not going to Taj Mahal
New Delhi, March 2: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could not resist teasing US President George W Bush on Thursday for not taking his wife, Laura, to the Taj Mahal on his brief trip to India.

Bush has blamed 'the George W Bush schedulers' for not arranging a trip for him to the monument to love, although the truth is Bush is never much of a tourist on overseas travel.

In toast remarks during a US-Indian luncheon, Singh told Mrs Bush, "I'm truly sorry that the President is not taking you to Taj Mahal this time. I hope he will be more chivalrous the next time you are here."

The audience chuckled, then Bush took the microphone and said the sore subject had come up at home.

if the taj mahal had been built in the memory of Union Carbide or Enron, the monkey would have rushed there to pay homage. i can bet you 10 bucks that's what he'd do.

3. No way Taj Mahal could be "secured" enough for cowardly W
Look at the photos of this beautiful place. With the spacious approaching avenues, reflecting pool and generally large open areas all around it, there's no way Bubble Boy could have it sufficiently fortified to his required level of isolation, short of placing embankments of anti-aircraft missiles around it, and encircling it with multiple layers of heavily armed personnel. I'm sure the Indians would never allow such an obscene defacement of this international symbol of love.
