I actually get paid to defend the Today Show on DU. Hysterical, Mr. or Ms. Handpuppet. I don't give a shit what these TV shows say or don't say. I consider them irrelevant. I also am greatly amused by the evil MSM meme on both the left and right sides of the fence. What about corporate, money making concern don't you guys understand.

I actually do defend certain MSM journalists from the "they're all evil right wing sycophants" line, on a fairly regular basis, but that doesn't include mindless TV shows. I point out that there are lots of good journalists out there in the print world.

... then you won't mind if we DO point out that the biased pablum they present has no resemblence to actual journalism and you won't be so compelled to defend their irrelevance when they are criticized.

Certainly there are a number of good journalists out there in the print world -- I read a number of them every day, but that's not what we're talking about here, is it.

that it's pablum. Awful stuff. Scarcely worth all the time you pour into it. And the only two remarks I've ever made on DU about it, are hardly what I'd call a defense of the program. I simply think that folks like you overreact to irrelevant programming. Of course, I think a lot of folks on DU overreact to just about everything. You don't like my take? Tough.

after NBC Bush-apologist's produced a transcript on last nite's news (Campbell Brown subbing for Brian Williams)of a conversation the day after (televideo conference) of Michael Brown saying "Bush was involved and hands-on" or some shit like that... to neutralize the impact of watching B*sh do his dee-in-the-headlights conference call. NBC proclaimed it showed that Bush WAS hands-on, etc.

Our media SUCKS... I hope when Dems get back in power, they bitch-slap the corporations who are pimping for the Chimp now.
