42% of Federal Income Tax Dollars spent on Military Activities?
"Overall military-related spending (for past and current wars and military activities) increased about 9.5 percent in FY05 over FY04, while total federal funds spending grew by about 9.0 percent. An estimated 42 percent of our federal income tax dollars was spent on past and present military activities."

3. This is why our infrastructure, schools, are crumbling at our feet, and
we also have the distinction of beging the only industrialized country in the world without guaranteed healthcare for its citizens.

We are taken for fools by the military/industrial/government complex Eisenhower warned us about--but it is even worse than he ever could have imagined.

9. And the health care crisis in this country.
While all other industrialized nations have national health care for their citizens, the United States of America takes money that could be used for a national health care plan and pumps it into the military industrial complex. Both political parties are responsible, and our alleged elected representatives have failed 'We The People' miserably.

It's a morally bankrupt agenda that every damn Mega Church and politically connected 'religious operative' in the United States should be screaming about. Yet, they would rather waste their flocks time, money, and attention on a never ending war to purge this nation of freedom and advance an oppressive form of government.

10. Yes, unfortunately this is true and yes, it is both parties...
which means that it will be even more difficult to change.

6. And this is merely what they will own up to in public
Given the fact that Black Budget Ops go way up in times of war, I imagine that our real number is hovering around 50-60%.

Sad that our country can't seem to learn from history, even recent history. One of the major, if not THE reason the Soviet Union collapsed was because of their grossly oversized military budget.
