I'm having some problems with my employees
Edited on Thu Mar-02-06 10:58 AM by SoCalDem
These people did everything but slip me cash under the table to get me to hire them.

They showed me references out the wa-zoo

They said they knew how to DO the job.. in fact had lots of experience

They knew that the job required some researching and involved a learning curve

They assured me they were willing to do what it took to do the work

They knew that I would be watching how they progressed, and now they act all pissed off whenever I mention something to them that would help them do their job the right way

Now I learn that they are having outsiders do their work for them

They write themselves checks for pay raises without my permission

They have bought excellent medical benefits with MY money, and have canceled MY health care

They are taking bribes and doing favors for their friends, with MY assets

They are lying and covering up their misdeeds

They rarely work...instead take off weeks at a time, and go gallivanting around the world..and send ME the bills for their travel

They're sneaking around behind my back, cutting deals with my competitors and GIVING them MY equipment

I want to fire them all, but apparently they have a contract and I have to wait until then, and have to have my friends go with me and kick them out.

They will not go willingly ...I may need LOTS of Help.... What say you grab a torch and join me ?

67. Torches and Pitchforks, absolutely!
My sister and I originally planned to take two signs to Washington, DC last September -- one a pitchfork, the other a torch.

Maybe we can should organize a torches and pitchforks vigil rather than the standard old candlelight variety.

Pick a date. I'll be responsible for organizing a Laramie, Wyoming event.

Edited on Sat Mar-04-06 02:10 PM by TahitiNut
Every once in a while I go out into the street with them hoping someone will join me. I've never had anyone join up yet. Isn't it about time? Maybe I should post a personal ad:

Man with torch and pitchfork seeks woman with tar and feathers.
Objective: Populist regime change.

37. I've been thinking about that for a long time.
Starting from the West Coast and meeting along towns along the way. The caravan gets bigger and bigger as we head east. By the time we get to Washington we will have all the highways clogged. They won't be able to stop us unless they drop a bomb on us.

to go to the polling stations on election day and then just not leave..

Can you imagine the press coverage if every democrat who showed up to vote, just stayed at the polling place so they could PROVE who voted and until their votes were counted and proven valid.:)

Also, we ask you to be patient and please bear in mind that your employees now belong to the Unitary Executive and will need your house for turning tricks for three more years. When commnicating with your employees by phone we ask that you speak up and periodically supply your Social Insecurity number. For your convenience we will shortly tattoo this number on your right forearm so that you may more efficiently serve the empire.

35. I was thinking of putting up a post about demanding that they
resign. Our Congress isn't going to go for impeachment, so the only thing I can think of is that, we the people, do a letter writing campaign demanding that Bush, Cheney and his whole cabinet resign as unelected frauds.

When that is accomplished we need a special election. I think everything they have changed during their tenure should be rolled back to the year 2000 including the Supreme Court appointments. The unelected fraud has no legal and legitimate right to appoint the judges.

There has got to be a way to do this and to make them understand that they have to resign because there will be civil war if they don't. These Katrina revelations and lack of solutions for what is still going on today are going to have real repercussions once the victims come out of the shock they are still in over what happened to them.

40. Fact is, if GWB ever had to find a real job, he'd be unhirable
There are lots of sites that display this guy's pathetic resume. He's simply failed at every business/opportunity/office he's ever been in his entire life. And at the same time, every position he's ever been in has been HANDED to him. He's never had to prove himself at anything.

If George W. Bush ever had to do what WE ALL have to do to scramble to find a job or work, he'd starve to death. He has no skills or accomplishments on file whatsoever. He wouldn't make it past even the lowest level human resources check for the lowest-level worker imaginable. He'd just be found one day lying in the gutter with a half-empty bottle of Jim Beam in his bony hand.

62. Fire their asses
Edited on Thu Mar-02-06 11:14 PM by banana republican
there is no reason for theft....

I have seen too many small business go down the tubes due to employee theft.

1) get an employment attorney.

2) Ask if you can fire their asses for cause.

3) put out a help wanted add to get "reliable help (use an employment agency if necessary) (you can sue the employment agency if they don't do due diligence)

4) once you have the new employees lined up; fire the frauds for cause (e.g. they get no unemployment, your unemployment rates don't increase)

5) I've had this happen to me in the past. Do it sooner not later. remember you are paying these sob's for an honest day's work at an honest wage, DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR SITUATION.

Good night & good luck.

On Edit:

This could be a RICO case if there is a pattern or a conspiracy to run your business into the ground and/or take the business elsewhere.

I have seen in the past where individuals deliberately run a business into the ground and then try to pick up the peices in their own name. (believe me it happpens;)

You may also want to run background checks on those individuals to see if they are ex-convicts. I beleive in giving an ex-con a chance but it sound as if these guys have blown it....
