I found JIMMY HOFFA
Well, the "junior" one anyway. James P. Hoffa, General President, International Brotherhood of Teamsters. If you haven't read it, he's got a great blog at HuffPo about the UAE ports deal.

People are asking if there are any US companies that could operate our ports. There are, but evidently P&O stipulated that the purchaser must continue in the tradition of giant, planet-sized corporations and have the capacity to do it all.

The president or Congress must insist that P&O Ports, the London-based company that currently operates the six major ports in question, offer its U.S. operations for sale to experienced, reputable U.S.-based port companies.

In its request for bids, P&O indicated it would only consider those for its entire worldwide operations. That’s wrong. There are three U.S. companies -- Seattle-based Stevedoring Services of America; Oakland, Calif.-based Marine Terminals Corporation; and Elisabeth, N.J.-based Maher Terminals, Inc.—that have the resources to operate our ports. And these companies should be given that chance.

If a U.S. company—with American security interests in mind—does not operate these ports, then the federal government should.

1. So there are American companies capable of running the ports.
There's one excuse shot down!

2. They should get government support if necessary.
It involves our national security interest.

3. Yeah, I hadn't realized that.
I also didn't realize that Homeland Security won't let workers join unions.
From the link:

Furthermore, I am disturbed by the Bush administration’s willingness to ignore the obvious increased security threats of opening our nation's ports to the UAE while invoking dubious concerns about supposed terrorist risks in depriving U.S. citizens employed by the Homeland Security Department of their right to form and join unions.

Union members were both victims and heroes during the 9-11 tragedy. Treating union members as a security risk while, at the same time, outsourcing vital operations of the nation's ports to companies based in countries known to harbor terrorists raises serious questions about the administration's true agenda.

6. That's why Max Cleland lost his Senate seat. He was standing up to the DHS
being able to have union protections.

8. Hoffa was found
a long time ago when Tammy Faye Baker was in a car accident. They rushed her to the emergency room and after removing all of that make-up, found out it was really Jimmy Hoffa

9. Fuck Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters
He has sided with the GOP on many environmental issues and the Teamsters built their new Union Hall in Houston in 2000 with Scab Labor. Their reasoning was Union Labor was to expensive. Hoffa would stab you in the back quicker than Cheney could shoot you in the face.

10. ROFL! I wasn't suggesting he should run the universe
:eyes:

It's just to have SOME information about American companies and the ports. The corporate media whores haven't been very forthcoming. They're only reinforcing the talking point by questioning WHICH foreign corps should run our ports.
