Internal Nat'l Guard Docs Suggests Units Engaged in Spying In 10 States
Senator ties Guard to spy plan
MEMOS SUGGEST NATIONWIDE EFFORT
By Edwin Garcia
Mercury News Sacramento BureauSACRAMENTO

- A special California National Guard unit that was disbanded last year amid suspicion it was engaged in domestic spying may have been part of a nationwide effort to monitor the activities of U.S. citizens, a state senator charged Tuesday.

Internal National Guard documents seem to suggest, according to Sen. Joe Dunn, D-Garden Grove, that Guard units in nine other states may have had similar spying initiatives when California's unit became public last summer.

``Because they were all created at about the same time and, to the best of our knowledge thus far seemingly engaged in similar activity, including domestic surveillance activities,'' Dunn said, ``we could only conclude that it had been part of a concentrated or coordinated effort to create such units around the country.''

3. There was a specific reason Democratic Senators kept asking
Gonzales what other programs and activities the Bush Administration was or has been engaged in, that they are not authorized to do or could legally do.

Didn't anybody else catch that, even though Gonzales refused to comment or answer?

5. The Governors want to know when they are getting their guard
equipment back too. The governor of Kansas asked Bush that on the ride to K-State, the day Bush played blind, deaf, and dumb to that student asking about the cuts in student aid.

And every high shool junior and senior in Kansas probably was sitting in a classroom having to watch Bush's speech and Q & A. The one thing they will take away (I know my senior came home and only thing he remembered was the student, and dumb arse Bush playing stupid.) is that Bush cut financial aid and refused to admit it.

At our local peace rallies and marches. Damn, these people are getting so goddamn thick on the ground, you can hardly walk a step without running into one of these assholes. And all because we're exercising our first amendment rights. Goddamn fascists, all of them.
