My Neighbor....Quit The Church

Today I printed a BmprSticker that says the following.....

Bush Is UnAWare of Everything....2nd line.......Yah Right!! Liar

My neighbor knows that I am a former Church Director of Education for a SoBapt Church and told me this afternoon while pulling in to my driveway that I should just quit the church because I dont support *. I told him that if he believed God really choose * then God is not a God of Truth and Compassion....He then asked me what my sticker meant....I said are you kidding???....No he said....I said * said he was unaware of bad intelegence that lead up to the Iraq war.....* said he was unaware of the Port deal..his response..What Port Deal.....* said he was unaware of levys in NOLA breaching.....and it has been proven he did KNOW about all of these issues. He then said I listen to to much liberal radio and I am living against Gods will....I asked him if I could check to see what radio station he listens to...he said sure.....I asked him to turn on the radio in his car......You Know WHAT!!!!...it was the station that host Limpnuts and Shamity......I asked him why doesnt L&S allow people critical of * to express their point..because its their show....I said AAR and their host do and its their show so who is more fair and balanced....SILENCE........Then convinently his wife calls him....I told him the walls are crumbling time to wake up before its to late.....I told him to be a good Christian and stand up for those who Jesus stood for...the Underdog.....and he will never have a fraction of the wealth that * has so stop pretending you will...the door his front door went shut....

What the hell does living against God's will have to do with anything? I don't understand these people. Liberal radio, wow!

and you missed a golden opportunity to use the operative word about Stupid: unchristian. Try it next time and see what happens.

You see, they've all read the words about loving their neighbors, soothing the sick, visiting the incarcerated, and giving all to the poor. They've just been bamboozled by the constant drumbeat of selfish Calvinism from the pulpits. Eventually, somebody's gonna call them on it and that is what puts the biggest holes in that wall they've put up.

Christians should be our friends and allies in taking our country back from the rich, the selfish, the hateful, and the delusional. They mostly need a reminder of what Christ was really all about to see through the hate they're being taught in his name.

I'm glad that you spoke up and didn't just let it pass. Too many Christians won't speak up when others start spewing this kind of crap.

Sounds like your neighbor needs to rethink his religion. You can worship God or * but not both.

Don't back down. Show how upset that you are that a Christian would tell you to quit going to church because you don't support Bush. Does he not believe in democracy?

It is a shame that some people act foolishly out of fear. Please dont stop going to church. We must challenge other Christians who dont walk the talk.
