1. I wonder how long it takes him this week to complain
about his damn liberal audience...

16. I Hate When He Does That
He really seems to dislike his audience.

17. Heck, I dislike the audience
I get annoyed when the trigger lines and the applause interrupt the flow of conversation. He could easily do the show without it - all we'd lose is the opening monologue, which (sorry, Bill honey) is not funny. OTOH, I also hate it when Bill snarks the audience - if you don't like it so much, Bill, then lose them!

8. Not to me...
..I think the last two shows were awful. Last week was better than the previous week.

I hope for better things this week. I've been a fan, but he's starting to worry me lately.

9. I agree with you - the last two shows were awful.
It wasn't the political content (or lack thereof) - his pace was off and with that repug audience - when he delivered his joke and stopped for the applause and laughter he got dead silence.

Ten minutes into his second show I was already thinking that he would be canceled if he doesn't pick it up. Neither show was worth watching.

20. Glad it wasn't just me.
The guest line up for the first show wasn't that great considering it was the season premiere and the second show was average, though I would've enjoyed it more if they had had at least one conservative guest to chomp at the bit.

The line up for tonite seems to be an improvement.

3. Bill Maher: My favorite liberal traitor!
Jesus...is there any republican out there with an ounce of brain matter rolling around in their head? Bill Maher isn't a liberal you freak.

7. If Graydon Carter is half the talk show guest that he is editor
I can't wait to see what he has to say. He is the editor of Vanity Fair and that magazine has been knocking Chucklenuts and the Cohorts forever (sounds like a really bad garage band, doesn't it?). The article in this month's issue about Commander Nutso liking to play dress up in fake military outfits is priceless.

I've watched the first two shows of Real Time this go-round and have been disappointed in the writing, jokes, commentary, etc. Doesn't seem to be as sharp and walking the edge as before. I know his issue is the environment and global warming but he is almost bordering on Lou Dobbs fanaticism - I agree with Bill on environmental issues but there is so many things wrong with this country and he shouldn't ignore the elephant in the room while beating his own special drum. Maybe they are just warming up but Bill has miles to go before he even begins to approach some of his older shows.

12. Brownie should be interesting...
...he will probably be booed by the audience. While Brownie was obviously unqualified for the job, the real loser is Michael Chertoff who ought to have lost his job as well.
