Dems Poised to Win US House, Bipartisan Poll Reveals

(CNSNews.com) - Two prominent pollsters -- one a Democrat, the other a Republican -- agreed Thursday that Democrats appear poised this year to win back seats in Congress. GOP pollster Ed Goeas even conceded that "if this environment holds, you have to assume will tip for the Democrats" and they will win control of the U.S. House.

Congressional job approval was also fairly low, with 56 percent of voters expressing their disapproval. More voters believe that the Democrats in Congress will be better at solving the biggest problems facing the U.S. than Republicans.

"For the first time we're seeing Democrats emerging ahead on dealing with the problems facing the country. You see Democrats emerging with a very clear advantage on the economy, which is quite important because in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, voters were not clear what the Democratic alternatives on the economy were," said Lake.

1. But we have to wait 8 months to vote
Big if.

These guys have one advantage that we don't have in the 2006 campaign. They have the government. And that enables them to play a lot more dirty tricks than we can.

However, we have might and right. Clearly, conclusively more people want a change in government, from the pResident-in-thief to the corporate-whore congress.

2. It's vital that the media keep talking about this.
That makes it harder for the Rethugs to perpetrate fraud. If the media is expecting a Democratic win and something goes off with the exit polls and the results, they will notice. (This time.)

7. "...they will notice. (This time.)" Don't count on it. The war...
profiteering corporate news monopolies were COMPLICIT in the 2004 stolen election. They DOCTORED their exit polls (Kerry won) to FIT the results of Diebold's and ES&S's "trade secret," proprietary vote tabulation software (Bush won), and told the American people neither thing--neither that the votes were tabulated with secret programming code by two rightwing Bushite corporations, nor that they were FALSIFYING their polls--in impossible ways--to make it seem like they confirmed a Bush win.

Not. To. Be. Trusted.

We can only trust ourselves, we citizens, and our own efforts to verify elections. We can't trust election officials. They may well have been corrupted by the $4 billion electronic voting boondoggle that Tom Delay and Bob Ney unleashed with HAVA. They are often secretive--relishing the new power that secret vote tabulation gives them. The corruption (wrought by lavish lobbying, "revolving door" employment, and god knows what all) is bipartisan. We can't trust the corporate news monopolies. We can't even trust the Democratic Party, which let this fraudulent election SYSTEM be put in place for 2004 with barely a peep out of them, and have been virtually silent about it ever since. (Insane! --is the word for that.)

Basically, we no longer possess the basic mechanism of our sovereignty as a people--our right to vote, implemented by transparent elections. Our elections are non-transparent, and controlled by Bushite corporations with very partisan rightwing ties. So we have to guess--and do parallel elections, and independent exit polling, and whatever else we can think to do, to figure out what they did with our votes. And we have to think LONG TERM. It won't surprise me in the least if Bush, with a 38% approval rating all year, and the most disastrous regime we have ever seen in this country, gets yet more of his "pod people" in Congress in November. Karl Rove is probably writing the press releases even now ("Bush, the comeback kid," "Bush's amazing recovery," "Bush teflon," "Republican come from behind triumph," "Jesus saves," etc., etc.). I repeat: Two rightwing Bushite corporations are now tabulating all our votes with "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code, and with virtually no audit/recount controls. That means another fraudulent election, more than likely. And it will take a long and persistent effort to get rid of these machines, and restore democracy. We must strategize on the basis of reality and truth. It is foolish to ignore these facts. We should be thinking in terms of exposing these machines, and continuing challenges to their results--and working at the state/local level to reform the system, while we still have that opportunity. (Power over election systems still resides at the state/local level, where ordinary people still have some influence.)

8. I do believe, though, that overwhelming turnout can beat the fraudulent
electronic voting machine programming, in some cases. They have to be careful to protect their fraudulent system from too widespread exposure. And, it's my opinion that, in 2004, they were limited to a pre-programmed advantage to Bushites and warmongers, and it wasn't so easy to alter that advantage on election day itself. (I think that's why Ohio happened--overt, visible, illegal vote suppression--Kerry's win was bigger than they expected.)

3. ya but...ya but...I read an article in the Wash Times saying that
when "likely" voters were asked..Repugs win.

Yeah right...nice try...cover story for the next stolen election. They know they can't convince us that the Repugs are more popular so they'll try to tell us that the Dems just didn't go out and vote.

13. New voter registration in 2004 went nearly 60/40 for the Dems.
Independent voters voted overwhelmingly for Kerry. So did new voters. So did Nader voters. It's one of the supporting evidences of a stolen election.

their asses and not voting, I bet most of them would vote for dems if they HAD to vote.

4. Please let it be so.
I want the senate too.

Even if we get the house, Impeachment would be a moot point if that cocksucker isn't removed from office.

I GOP majority in the sentate would not vote to throw that piece of shit out of office.

11. IMHO
Even if we only get the House and then they impeach That would be fabulous.

It would force a trial in the Senate and expose all sorts of stuff, plus it would stain his presidency. More likely as a point of personal satisfaction it would hopefully wipe that fuckin' smirk off of his ugly face!

5. Well let's not be lulled into complacency.
We need to keep on going in desperation mode. We cannot get comfortable and believe this shit. I don't think for a minute that they are just going to sit back and let us win. We need to hit em harder and stay on their necks, November is a long way away.

20. Translation: Republican Base desperately needed in upcoming election
Republican polling scare tactic to get out the vote for the election, which will be followed with these messages across the country.

'If Republican Base stays home, control of Congress will fall back in the hands of the traitor liberal democrats, who will:
1) Take away your guns.
2) Force you to marry a homosexual.
3) Force your kids to have abortions, and use the parts to cross with an animal to create a new species.
4) Invite al Qaeda to move in next door to you, and they can use your house as target practice.
5) Tax hard working folks to death, and even dig up your grave to tax you again and rob your family.
6) Oh, here's a favorite, exploit hard working folks to benefit only the weird "liberal elite."

And, the lies, misrepresentations, smears, and stench of absolute bullshit will continue to flow freely from the mouths of the self diluted mentally unstable new Republican Party.
