Further documentation of the crimes of GWB. I have Mardi Gras photos too, maybe I'll put them up later. I spent three days of my week taking these photos, I have a lot more. Never made it to MS (sorry merh) or the bayou region (most of that area is still closed off from traffic).

In my "expert" opinion. That is what we archaeologists call an interesting rock.

I really do not think it is an artifact. Looks naturally occuring to me. Oddly shaped but natural.

Starting the big last push on my dissertation. Been dreading the final number crnching on all the little pieces of pottery etc. But it is here. Trying to suck it up and dive it with gusto.

I just finished up a big project doing a bunch of graphics for a boogk coming out with Prentice Hall. Nice to be making some money with the graphics skills. Sounds like it may be an in for more work as well. Not bad for sure.

Just got last semester's teaching evaluations back and the kids were loving me again. That's always nice. Got to teach some fun ones last semester.

Still treating my body like shit. Smoking too much, eating tons of junk food and staying inside. I hate the winter.

I will reemerge soon. I hear George just saw his shadow. If I recall, that means 6 more weeks until the streets demand my attention again. We will certainly meet up.

Been doing some blogging debating the other side at liberalunderground.org. It is an interesting site for sure. A few fire breathing freeps. But, they are largely ignored in favor of reasonably civl chat with the right. Challengine as they actually make you back every word you say up with facts. Sometimes it is good to excersize the old debate chops.

Got an archaeology canference coming up at the end of April in San Juan Puerto Rico. Probably gonna bring the Mrs. down for a little trip.

The munchkin is doing great. Not quite walking. But, starting to get some English down. "BALL!"

I know I am harder to find than I used to be. But, don't forget to keep me up to date on your actions. You are just sown the road you know.

The book is a second edition revision of a book called The Legacy Of Mesoamerica. It is a nice edited volume that is a broad historical overview of Maya culture. Been doing a lot of maps, timelines and a bit more creative stuff.

I did a series of maps of major sites for all of the different time periods. This is the one for the time period I work in, at the site of Mayapan:

I want him lucid so he can spend all of his waking hours pondering on his plight. Let him suffer the indignity and horror of having all of his rights taken away like so many Americans have under his rule. Lock him up and put him in 4-point restraints, but keep him lucid.
