"Dildos today, mandatory missionary position tomorrow"..
Lawmakers (R) Seek to Outlaw Dildos

The Dire Problem of Dildos in Tennessee

Apparently, lawmakers in this impoverished red state can't find enough serious problems to address, so they've turned their minds to sex, specifically sex toys.

For unknown reasons, State Senator Charlotte Burks (DINO) and State Rep. Eric Swafford (R) have been thinking a lot about the activities going on your bedroom. They have come to the conclusion that Tennessee will be a better place to live if the state regulates your bedroom by outlawing dildos.

Dildos today, mandatory missionary position tomorrow. We think it's high time the Republican party considers a name change. We suggest the Victorian Party, along with a campaign slogan of: Vote for a Victorian, and Say Hello to the Peeping Tom State in Your Bedroom.

It's true that Burks calls herself a Democrat, but in this state the Democratic party is over-run with Republicans.

If the Victorians have their way, it will soon become a crime to sell, advertise, publish, or exhibit dildos in this red state. Presumably "exhibit" is what happens when more than one person is caught in the vicinity of a dildo. The lawmakers are willing to permit some exceptions, such as the study of dildos by college students and professors. Were you looking for a subject for your Master's thesis? Interviewing lawmakers on this touchy subject could prove highly stimulating.

HB3798 and SB3794
Abstract: Obscenity and Pornography - Creates Class A misdemeanor offenses of distributing unlawful sexual devices and wholesale distributing of unlawful sexual devices.

If you'd like to better understand this important issue of the day, email your Victorian lawmakers to find out everything you ever wanted to know about the dire problem of dildos in Tennessee:

Rep. Eric Swafford

11. Will they grandfather existing dildos?
They should since they were purchased before it was illegal. How can this be regulated? How can you catch someone and then prove when it was purchased before or after the criminality. Are dildos ok if you are by yourself? I ask these questions only to point out how ridiculous this is since it can't ever be enforced and raises so many absurd questions. Blatant pandering but they are losing the dildo vote. ;-)

21. Just like porn, possession will still be legal
But selling a dildo (an "obscene device) will be illegal.

This is just another way for the authorities to go after adult retailers. In order to get a conviction on a movie, you have to show a jury the whole movie, bring in expert witness to show that the movie is against community standards (whatever that means), and without any socially redeaming value.

The defense will make the jury view comparable movies that have been found not obscene by a jury, etc. It's a long, drawn out process, and hard to get a conviction these days.

But a realistic looking dildo is not "expression" or art, and they only have to ask a jury, does this device fit the description of an "obscene device" as the law is written?

Several states already have laws against "obscene devices". In a recent raid on a Prisilla's in SC, no movies were seized, just toys.

14. Out of curiosity,
if this was happening in Utah, Oregon, Montana or Idaho would you have called it an "impoverished red state?" They have lower incomes per capita than Tennessee.

This is the first I have heard about this. Our elected officials apparently have nothing else to occupy their time.

15. The "pro-lifers" should be up in arms about this.
Seeing as how dildos prevent abortions. And, a condum isn't required.

17. Just to put this in perspective
- Jesus Christ 2006 years ago.

- World's "oldest" sculpted phalluses, lovingly created around 28,000 years ago.

The stone schlong was discovered in Hohle Fels Cave near Ulm, Swabia, Germany.

lives".
Then they turn around and accuse the Left of wanting big government that controls everyones lives.
