As I watch John Negroponte stoke the fires of the Iraqi civil war with his
recycled-from-Central America death squads and false flag operations,
it dawns on me that the United States is in the late stages of preparation
its very own false flag civil war.

Most of us are thinking in terms of another MIHOP/LIHOP Arab terrorist
scenario. But, I say, what's the value-add? I mean, the Arabs are completely
demonized already. Besides, who can you crack down on with another
stage-managed Arab terrorist attack (like the first WTC bombing, which
had an FBI agent planted with the truck bombers or the incredibly spooky
ties of the owner of the Venice, FL flight school)? There simply aren't any
Arabs among the vocal domestic opposition to the Bush/Neocon regime.

Another argument against the kind of scare scenarios we've been
prepping for is the increasing lack of credibility of the whole GWOT.
The evidence for no WMDs, torture, death squads in Iraq, corruption
and failure in Afghanistan, etc. is beginning to break through the media
barrier and enter the so-called consciousness of the American couch
potato. If we had another "we found a passport amid the wreckage...
here are airport security photos" spin job within 24 hours of the event,
there would be some level of suspicion. In short, like all good terrorists,
the brains behind the Bush cabal won't do the same thing twice. Hence,
the following FANTASY scenarios (hey, DHS, just having fun here!)

1. Anti-abortion "terrorists" bomb the South Dakota legislature or assassinate
the governor.

On the plus side: damage is minimal (what's in South Dakota) and far
from most Americans. The trampling of women's rights is a bona fide
provocation, and one side-effect of this scenario would be to cancel out the
right wing's decades-long campaign of clinic bombings and doctor killings.
Of course, this false flag op would be used to justify the repeal of Roe v Wade,
now before the SC.

The main point in this scenario is to invent, out of thin air, left-wing militants.
This justifies a crackdown on anyone vaguely connected, and silencing
politicians who have supported women's rights.

I think you can fill in the rest.

2. Disgruntled "left wing" Special Ops soldier manages (somehow :shrug:)
to kill the paranoidly-defended sitting president, who won't venture out on
the street with less than 2,000 armed guards.

This one is a two-fer! The neocons get to dump the increasingly unstable
W after extracting all the value they can from his kleptomaniac reign; and
they have an excuse for a crackdown that will make the 1920s Palmer
Raids against anarchists look like a "time out" from a nursery school teacher.

This is the Sirhan Sirhan redux scenario, with a bit of Lee Harvey thrown in.
The special ops guys are so twisted that it would be trivial to find a genuine
homicidal maniac who is ready to blow. Then point him at W and make sure
there is another of the many convenient "exercises" that "accidentally" confuse
our good guys.

The point is that with Bush's numbers as low as they are going to get; and, with three
more years of this insane idiot running our country into the ground on offer, even the
right wing is fed up with W. He has to go; but in a way that gives zero (or negative)
credit to any left-wing opposition.

Since the PNAC crowd treats America like any other third world colony, it is
logical for them to start a Civil War here to make sure we are divided when they
pull the economic plug and flee with the loot to South Asia.

We have 30% of the country in a fundamentalist cult, ready and primed to kill
liberals for Jesus. Of course, as the last five years have proved, liberals are
absolutely ineffective at anything requiring a spine. They will offer no justification
for starting a Civil War. So, the cabal that is stage managing America will
need a "canned goods" operation (German code name for murdered Polish POWs
used as a false flag excuse for starting WW2) to let lose the right wing nuts
on the liberals inside America.

In the ensuing chaos, the cabal will simply walk away and let America burn.
Having run up America's credit card to way beyond the max (trillions of dollars
of new debt under Bush), there is nothing more for them to steal.

That's my tin-foil story. I'm sure it would make a great movie. But, since even
Oscar winners get deported for the equivalent of parking tickets in Bush's Amerika,
I would hardly be surprised to disappear myself - after all, I've just figured out
what an army full of CIA spooks have been paid to design. (Oops, got to put
the tin foil back on here.)

Provoked by talk radio, a nutter will gun down Justice Stevens, who (somehow) is seen as responsible for the whole "eminent domain" issue. Shrub will get to appoint a third justice, who will make Scalito look like a bleeding heart liberal.

Only a few months ago, I'd have laughed at you so merrily & called you fool (or worse), but now I see real possibilities in your words (Agent Mike, I'm funnin' too, you know that, us disabled Vets, we need some R & R, once in a while, it's just those pain meds, honest!), where before I would never have seen anything other than depraved rantings.

Something bad is brewing, my spidey sense is tingling & in 50 odd years it has never been wrong & it has been field tested, proven effective. Something is going to happen or I have drank way too much coffee. I'm betting on the former.

"our broken borders" and the extreme passions ignited on either side of our "illegal aliens" issue. And then there are the scattered refugess all over the country from our "summer of fun" with Katrina and Rita, concentrated in major metro areas (Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, Baton Rouge).

Any one of these alone, but toss together any 2 or 3 along with a major attack and viola, Martial Law, in your face, nationwide. This is their plan.

ROBERT FISK: Yeah, I listened to Bush. It made me doubt myself when I heard him say that. I still go along and say what I said before - Iraq is not a sectarian society, but a tribal society. People are intermarried. Shiites and Sunnis marry each other. He's talking to a small bunch of people living behind American machine guns inside the so-called Green Zone, the former Republican palace of Saddam Hussein, which is surrounded by massive concrete walls like a crusader castle. These people do not and cannot even leave this crusader castle. If they want to leave to the airport, they're helicoptered to the airport. They can't even travel on the airport road. What we've got at the moment is a little nexus of people all of whom live under American protection and talk on the telephone to George W Bush who says, "I've been talking to them and they have to choose between chaos and unity." These people can't even control the roads 50 metres from the Green Zone in which they work.


Formenting civil war, 101. Take the above statement, insert appropriate to fit scenario in US. Hmmm, you ask me these guys are getting better and better at creating chaos and getting away with it.

My mind just couldn't wrap itself around that counter-
factual construct; so it put up what we all know is

civil war? To get out in front and say
"don't let them manipulate us into this
fight that only serves our corporate masters"?

Of course, it has to be done in a manner that
does not immediately get us labelled tin-foil
