I finally got totally disgusted
and started trying to find my local Democratic party. I'm going to get involved...if I can find them. The numbers on the web site are out of date, so I called the Little Rock office and someone is supposed to call me back. I want to start going to meetings and perhaps run for the committee myself. I'm tired. I'm sick of what my country is becoming. I will never have the money to run for state or national office, but I can doggone well try to do something locally. We might all like to do the same.

I have to do something to take my country back.

4. I contacted my local congressman's office ...
I got his email online. I got a call back about 2 days later from his office with local info and had them email it as well.

Goto www.house.gov and go from there.

7. Also, see if there is a meetup group near you...or start one
if you have to. Find out who is running at either your state and federal level (or both, if you have time) and contact them to see if they need help campaigning/canvassing.

One word of warning: It can be extremely frustrating and tiring, especially with local organizations that are not very well supported. So be sure you walk into it with eyes wide open and a whole lot of patience.

Good for you! You community and country needs people with your heart!!! :applause: :applause: :applause:

8. Are you in Little Rock or where?
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 12:30 PM by Clark2008
Nevermind read upthread.

If you don't get any response, contact Gen. Clark's secretary in Little Rock. They'll help get you in touch with a lot of the party's leaders. PM me for the email address.

9. We have the problem of trying to advertise
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 12:33 PM by savemefromdumbya
In terms of advertising local clubs - we are finding it difficult to get the info out. We can't afford the yellow pages - we are linked to state party web site and a few others but for someone who doesn't have access to the internet - where does one start to find the local club? Try congressman's office, council members - should be in the phone book.
