Ok, say the Bush administration has a great idea...
Here is the problem with this administration having a great idea. Say, just for example that Bush has come up with a plan to make us energy independent. A viable plan, not just rhetoric. So then he mskes his pitch, gets it legislated and only has to get the funding and start putting this thing into action.

Now this is great, it's a worthy goal and it would be fantastic if this happened, however......

anybody, pundits, politicians or just average people like us, who trusted this administration to actually do a good job of executing this plan would have to be either completely stupid, insanely gullible or just plain old batshit crazy. This administration could fuck up a cup of coffee, that's how inept they are. Now if Bill Clinton or even Poppy Bush had a policy put forth like that, you could feel somewhat confident that they could get the job done. Bush Sr. was stellar in many post-Cold War foreign policy problems, sure he couldn't run an economy for shit, but you at least felt the guy was reasonably competent. He won the first Iraq War easily putting together a viable coalition to help finance and fight it. His administration was excellent in the German Reunification process. Could you imagine Junior performing well in those endeavors? Hell no! Clinton for all his faults was a competent president. He had a record amount of job growth, balanced the budget and performed solidly in foreign affairs such as the Bosnian peacekeeping process. These guys were pretty well respected. You can go back further, to guys like Eisenhower and Kennedy. There is no way Bush could have handled problems as diverse and touchy as the end of the Korean War or the Cuban Missile Crisis. If he was president back then, we might not even be here right now, that's how dangerous a rube he is.

This administration could no more be trusted to enact and execute decent legislation than they could be to handle a crisis effectively. So even if Bush somehow came up with a great idea and a good plan, they'd screw it up, just like everything else. The problem with expectating adequate leadership is that by now, these clowns don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. I cannot name one single administration official that I have any confidence in whatsoever. And, that is sad.

12. All the issues and facts you set out are sadly true
This Leader has lost his moral high road. More than half of our citizens don't trust him. He get nothing right as far as I can see. He is making radicals and cynics out of so many of us.

be honest, be objective and tell me if he has ever done one good thing for the American people as a whole. Has he ever gotten anything right?

I can't think of a single thing either.

That is not a good thing. :)
