China questions US role as self-styled "Guardian of Rights"
http://www.zeenews.com/znnew/articles.asp?aid=280586&sid=WOR

Beijing, Mar 09: China today questioned the right of the US to don the role of a self-styled "Guardian of Human Rights", accusing it of pursuing unilateralism, committing gross abuses in countries like Iraq and even snooping into the lives of American people.

"Pursuing unilateralism on the international arena, the US government grossly violates the sovereignty and human rights of other countries in contempt of universally-recognised international norms," the Chinese government said in a report on the state of human rights in the United States in 2005.

To help people realise the true features of this self-styled "Guardian of Human Rights," it is necessary to probe into the human rights abuses in the US in 2005, it said.

The US State Department alleged yesterday that China increased its censorship of the internet and media critics in 2005 and that harassment and detention of those challenging the authorities grew.

The Chinese report alleged that the US government frequently commits "wanton slaughters of innocents in its war efforts and military operations in other countries," citing published reports that the US-led war on Iraq has killed about 100,000 Iraqis, mostly women and children.

4. That would be funny!
Bush threw away America's rights to any claim of "Moral High Ground" on human rights issues.

2. China seems to be a bit cranky with the US lately. And they own our
poor country. This is not good.

3. They don't own it. We just gave them some to borrow.
Again, actions that have been made up to date by recent politicians.

Are our leaders really inept? Or are they Judas Goats?
