NBC just reported that there is essentially no government in Iraq, something those of us who have been reading the NYT and other outlets already know. The convening of Parliament has been put off again and PM al-Jaafari is in real trouble. Things are fragile and tenuous and every delay makes it more likely that the wisp of government that's in place will completely fall apart.
