6. Was the voting party a Dem or a repug???
 The article didn't say...at least not that I saw.

We need this to happen to more of our elected officials, so they'll FINALLY start believing us!!

9. Cook wouldn't be Republican. From Tampa Bay Newspapers
website, tbnweekly.com:

PINELLAS PARK – A multi-generation Floridian and incumbent for the lone City Council seat is running against a local activist who never held an elective position.

Councilman Ed Taylor, a licensed funeral director, is pitted against Marshall Cook, who voices concerns for trailer park residents and property overdevelopment.

Yep Republican all right. This is exactly who they express their support for. That is why they are the Party of Jesus.

26. Yes, that's why I said he would NOT be Republican,
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 04:10 PM by highplainsdem
not with those concerns. I couldn't find anything that proved he's a Democrat, though -- he could be an independent -- so I couldn't just post that he's a Democrat, even though that seems most likely.

There's another article on the election at

http://www.tbnweekly.com/content_articles/031006_par-01.txt

but the quotes from Cook there were only about the light voter turnout -- nothing more about the vote switching, though the paper may have edited out any further comments he had. That was all I could find through Google News so far.

17. Great if the story is allowed to spread so that people find out about it
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 02:42 AM by Nothing Without Hope
No surprise that it happened - the surprise would be if word of it was seen anywhere but in the progressive online blogs.

And speaking of progressive online blogs - Brad, your efforts writing and speaking and being the media are essential, inspiring, effective, and very, very appreciated. :patriot: :toast:

19. Well, keeping kicking it...
Edited on Fri Mar-10-06 02:57 AM by BradBlog
...And other wise making noise with it, and all the other Progressive Non-Corporate News Sites out there!

(And feel free to support 'em financially where you can, as well. Not just me, of course. But speaking from experience, we could *all* use some help these days to keep doing what we're trying to do in being the media! At least until Coca-Cola and Target et al decide to start sponsoring blogs, anyway!)

Thanks for all the supportive kudos and kicks, guys, they really do mean a great deal!

Brad

21. just a "glitch", Glitchgate
Not Diebold, these were Sequoia machines. It's Glitchgate and people need to start focusing on all the peculiar machine functioning that CAN be proven, not conspiracies that cannot be proven. The key is to get people's attention on the need to know what's going on inside the machines.

27. What's he complaining about?
At least he got to vote.

"I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves." -- Henry Kissinger (first nominee to head the 9-11 whitewash committee by the giggling murderer, George W Bush)
