Bush has opened up the ult. issue
The port deal and his handling of it has exposed yet another failure of "Free Trade" open market crap.
It should be dog pile on the rabbit on this one.

A quick list of failures of the oligarchs dearest issue:

Disruption of local economies here and world wide, in the sense that walmart and many others produce goods at slave wage rate, draining any real wealth from localities

Depression of wages and benefits of actual producers of work

Multinationals above any nations laws viv-a-vis, the port deal.

Politicians especially thugs complete worship of unrestrained capitalism and the corporate protection laws as in tort reform.

So much is exposed by the reality of republican rule that the time grows near for great winds of change,
:nopity:

1. Unfortunately their primary "issue", enriching themselves, is working fine

3. Yes. And as long as they can buy servitude from lackeys with
no principles they will be the "bosses".

2. actually, I was struck by this.
"Remember when i called Iraq, iran and north korea the axis of evil, they still are.
Because Iran threatens israel, and seeks nukular weapons, we view them as a great threat to our national security."

Wait. we are about to invade another nation that is no threat to the US, because they dislike Israel? What kind of bullshit is this?

world war is about to start, because of their lunacy.

7. Judging by the attitudes of many of our leadership
Isreal is the 51st state.

Come to think of it, a lot of the Arab countries think so, too.

4. Trade is "the" wedge issue to get engineers and IT workers
There is much talk in the engineering trade magazines about this and job protection.

5. What I love the best of this whole affair.
Bush and Company did not anticipate the reaction from the public, which is largely due to the state of fear they created. Almost the same lack of attention as in the Katrina response.
