Bush's job approval among Republicans plummeted from 82 percent in February to 74 percent, a dangerous sign in a midterm election year when parties rely on enthusiasm from their most loyal voters. The biggest losses were among white males.

On issues, Bush's approval rating declined from 39 percent to 36 percent for his handling of domestic affairs and from 47 percent to 43 percent on foreign policy and terrorism. His approval ratings for dealing with the economy and Iraq held steady, but still hovered around 40 percent.

Personally, far fewer Americans consider Bush likable, honest, strong and dependable than they did just after his re-election campaign. (snip)

(she has also since then been quite opposed to the barbaric measures of the bushes) and although i question if she still sees a connection between afghanistan and the rest of bushes barbaric and repressive measures, i am just plain glad that at some point she developed opposition to the bush agenda...as i am also glad to see that many of, "these stupid assholes are just now waking up and deciding Bush is a complete buffoon." Maybe we can all get mobilized (republicans+democrats+peacemakers+liberals+conservatives+progressives+black+white+yellow+red = AMERICANS ALL and create a tsunami of voices for congress to begin the IMPEACHMENT AND REMOVAL OF BUSH FROM OFFICE--FOLLOWED BY THE IMPEACHMENT AND REMOVAL FROM OFFICE OF DICK CHENEY, as well as, THE RETURN THROUGHOUT ALL OF AMERICA TO PENCIL AND PAPER VOTING, followed by the cancellation of the PATRIOT ACT, the ERASING OF ANY DATABASE WHICH MAY HOLD ALL OF OUR PRIVATE INFORMATION FOR ANY GOVERNMENTAL AGENT TO LOOK AT, and maybe, maybe then, we can begin to hold one another in thankfulness that our JOINT voices have returned the AMERICA that we knew, and loved and treasured back to us and to the rest of the planet.)

Afghanistan, the problem with operations in Afghanistan is not that we went in.. hell the world was behind us... the problem is that we could have finished the job an captured OBL at Tora Bora... and if we had done that, and not sent him to a US Court, but the Hague (that assumes recognizing the Hague) that would have been a strong message to those who practice terror. Now you must ask why didn't we finish the job at Tora Bora, and according to CIA folk on the ground, they were ordered to let the ISI take the top leadership of AQ away? That is the proper question... not going into Afghanistan... thuogh granted, we could and should have done things very differently.

So it is not going in, but how and the results that must be questioned.
