8. the sweetest part is that Frist is pissed because Russ
stole his spotlight!

You just know he was all excited to go on This Week and 'Awww shucks' it up over his straw poll victory.

Gotta' love that.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congress should censure President George W. Bush for ordering domestic eavesdropping on U.S. citizens without a warrant, a Democratic senator said on Sunday.

Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin told ABC's "This Week" that he intends to push for a resolution that would censure the president for what he considers an unlawful wiretapping program authorized by the White House after the September 11 attacks.

"It's an unusual step," Feingold said of the measure he plans to introduce in the Senate on Monday. "It's a big step. But what the president did by consciously and intentionally violating the Constitution and laws of this country with this illegal wiretapping, has to be answered."

His proposal is unlikely to go far in the Republican-controlled Congress. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee told the same program that Feingold "is just wrong. He is flat wrong. He is dead wrong."

6. AOL has it wrong - Bush should be sentenced for breaking the law
not wiretaps in general. The problem is Bushs act was illegal

14. My husband looks just like a younger version of Russ
They have the same nose and mouth and large, brown eyes.

Of course, my husband is also of Jewish heritage, so that might be why.

My friends who have moved to California from Wisconsin joke that the only thing they miss is getting to vote for him. (Of course, they get to vote for Boxer now and that's not a bad consolation) :)

10. Framing him already, I see.
Trying to make him less viable in the heartland by calling him "a liberal Democrat" in the first line.

I know there's nothing wrong with that and everyone here knows that, but in the red states, framing him that way is yet another piece of propaganda. I don't see news stories that say, "The right-wing, ultra conservative President Bush..."

11. Earth to Fhrist
"The signal that it sends, that there is in any way a lack of support for our commander in chief who is leading us with a bold vision in a way that is making our homeland safer, is wrong," Frist said.

Earth to Fhrist: Virtually no one supports "our commander in chief" and he has no vision.

23. It forces Congress to vote yea or nay on censure
And considering how Americans feel about the eavesdropping issue, it will tell them who they need to be angry with come November.

26. it keeps Warrantless Wiretapping in the news
people forget this stuff so quickly - they are trying to make it legal and grandfather Bush in - we have to try to make them embarrassed to back someone who breaks the law at will.

If he gets this, what is next?

32. A brief mention on CNN. However
it was qualified with the "it's basically like public scolding".

I just want to see who is with us and who is against us...who supports Bush policy and who doesn't.

I am really tired of the same old "I voted for something, but didn't really support it" coming from our elected officials in DC.

33. Some ask Frist how censoring the President affects the "war on terror"
What a bunch of stupid shit. They always play the "terror" card. If they hadn't started a fucking war and killed thousands of people they wouldn't have any ammunition, (pun intended) for their piss-ant retorts.

Maybe when they talk about the "war of terror" we should remind them of Timothy McVeigh and ask if it would have been prudent to start a was against the American people because McVeigh was an American. Or just ask who we should have attacked after his bombing.
