Oh, dear. I do believe I am losing steam.

I am starting to feel hopeless in the face of this giant mess. Between Global Warming getting ready to flood the earth in the next fifty years and the King of Idiots leading the 'free' world, I am losing heart for this fight.

I am sick of my time being consumed with monitoring the criminal behavior of the leaders of this globe.

I am more and more and more feeling like I am just going through the motions. It will take a major catastrophe for this nation to come out of its stupor.

I am still going to be involved. I am going to be a delegate in Massachusetts. I am involved in the Governor's campaign. I write letters to the editor and attend local dem meetings. But, I think I am done trying to act much beyond the local and state level. National politics are sickening right now. My personal belief is that it will pretty much all have to fall apart before we can recreate on that scale. And, then we will have no problem getting dems in because the Republicans won't have anything left to steal. They won't WANT the job.
It will be endless work with no perks. Not their kind of gig.

I guess I am ranting. But, I am going to take a break from the national scene for awhile.

1. Look at people like Conyers,
or Teddy Kennedy, who have been doing this all their lives, and have sacrificed much.

But I understand what you are saying. Not everyone can stay strong in the face of so many discouraging developments. You are doing a lot to be so involved on the state and local level. Many people do not even do that much.

3. They are fantastic

But, I have no power in the national scene. My Senators are solid dems (Kerry & Kennedy - I get to meet Kennedy at the convention)! I write to thank them periodically, but the petitions and e-mails directed to them by the activists groups to get Senators on board? They are usually sponsors or co-sponsors!

I may follow up with the voting & election fraud issue. Picking one seems less overwhelming & less like my energy & time are scattered to the wind.

2. One of the best things you can do, IMO
Shore up state government. That is all that will be left and what has to take over as we effectively have no federal government (just a machinery for theft).

5. I'm pacing myself, Sergeant.
Sometimes one needs to take a breather.

It's a long, long journey, and it never ends.

6. rant away--and know you are amoung friends. some days, we just HAVE
to vent somewhere, as we face an almost sisyphean task of taking our country back. YOu know what? you are entitled to take a breather, relax for a bit. we all have to do it, or else we wipe ourselves out completely. take some time, go do something FUN, strictly for yourself, and come back when you are ready. we'll be here.
