Patrick Fitzgerald Co-Grand Marshal of the St. Patrick's Day Parade?
hmm...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/chi-0603120378mar12,1,387392.column?coll=chi-news-col

Speaking of what's possible, lead Ryan prosecutor Assistant U.S. Atty. Patrick Collins and his boss, U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald, could possibly be named co-grand marshals of the St. Patrick's Day Parade next year.

Just think of it: Collins and Fitzgerald succeeding this year's downtown parade marshal, restaurateur Dan O'Brien. The O'Briens have gone through at least two phony minority partners at the family's O'Brien's airport concessions in the last year and a half, and yes, they're still at O'Hare. Each year O'Brien sells "Celtic Corn" at the Taste of Chicago in a prime location. And all of this is courtesy of Mayor Richard Daley. (For those who may not know, "Celtic Corn" is also known by its generic name, clout-on-the-cob.)

Clearly, O'Brien deserves the spotlight, but I figure that if anyone should lead the Irish parades--including the South Side Parade on Western Avenue through the heart of the clout-heavy 19th Ward--it is Collins and Fitzgerald. Instead of candy, they might toss federal subpoenas out to select members of the crowd.

---------------

If it's offered to him, I'm sure he'll turn it down. He's got corruption to squash, like handing out more indictments.

1. Will Fitzgerald gets Rove? I think so!
Fitzgerald and Collins and their colleagues are lining up their own parades. But their parades end at the federal courthouse.

2. But it would be an excellent opportunity to serve subpoenas.

3. I doubt that he would want that much public exposure if you
get my drift. Too many people would like to see him disappear.

5. It's John Kass
He's a columnist. He's joking. Satire. Fitzgerald has little chance of being marshall at the St. Paddy's day parade. Mayor Daley's adminsitration is under investigation by Fitzgerald's office.

6. I know it wasn't certain.
And I realize it was Kass just talking out of his ass. :) You know me, using any excuse to start a thread on Fitzgerald. LOL!

Erin go bragh, baybeeeee!

This would have to be on pay-per-view if it happened. Somehow, I'm thinking it probably won't. ;-)
