Arrgh, MSM sucks SO BAD! (Feingold)
MSNBC in commercial, Fox has some human interest piece, Wolfie's situation room has three sentences of Feingold's speech and then cuts away to......what the blogs are saying! Instead of letting Russ tell us what he is doing and why, it's cut away to idiots like me.

Hey, Wolfie, the blogs say THIS IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO NOT READ THE BLOGS FOR FIVE MINUTES. Chrissakes.

1. So when are you going to quit suggesting they're "mainstream?"
Please stop calling them "MSM," and call them what they are. The Corporate Media.

5. But this is what tv was supposed to be GOOD for.
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 04:47 PM by Inland
Immediate transmission of the breaking news for our personal observation. It's like they switched from live broadcast of an actual huge fire to an internet page on fire safety. It's absurd. If we wanted commentary from blogs, we'd BE READING THE BLOGS. Crimineys.

3. Oh, are there still pretend news shows on TV/cable?
I long ago stopped watching them.

But, hey, wasn't West Wing good? What a shame that it's ending!

Well, I'll still have to have a TV, because there's still the Daily Show.

6. And Countdown with Keith Olbermann...
Who admitted in an interview last night that it's all about the money to the GE heirachy.

I hope he doesn't get walking papers soon for telling the truth.

7. You have to have one of those little boxes on your TV........
for them to know what you're watching. Those little black boxes seem to disproportionately end up on TVs in Iowa, Nebraska and other red states. If they were to put one on MY TV they'd find almost NO network TV viewing and absolutely NO "cable news" viewing.
I guess that's why people like me don't get the black boxes.

8. I can't watch Feingold in real time giving a speech on the floor.
That's the NEWS, not what some blogger is saying. But no, cut away from HIM to COMMENTARY on the internets I can read tomorrow if I feel like it. Ugh ugh ugh.

10. Just blanked him out entirely.
and went directly to "the controversy", see what's being said about it.

Can't have people listening and deciding on their own. Gotta find out what who's on what side.

No wonder there's never any debate. And tv was supposed to give us direct, unfiltered NEWS, and it cuts away to blog commentary?

11. Exactly what happened to the Alito filibuster. They never discussed WHY
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 05:43 PM by blm
senators chose to filibuster Alito's antiwoman, antiworker, pro-fascist agenda.

Better to chalk it up to political posturing and avoid all discussion of the facts.
