CNN claims only Andrew Jackson was censured, but that the censure was "expunged" from the record later on.

4. No he wasn't censured.
Moveon.org and some of the senators floated this as an option to impeachment. The repub led house disregarded this suggestion and voted to impeach.

5. Dems wanted censure of Clinton as COMPROMISE instead of impeaching.

But impeachment went through congress and Senate took it up where removal was defeated.

11. Jackson was the first to be censored
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Jackson

The U.S. Senate censured Jackson on March 27, 1834 for his actions in defunding the Bank of the United States; the censure was later expunged when the Jacksonians had a majority in the Senate.

13. President Andrew Johnson was impeached in 1868,
for violation of the Tenure of Office Act. He was acquitted by a single vote in the Senate.
