65. To let Spector whine as tumbleweeds go by? I don't know but it made
Arlen look pathetic. "Wahhh, I want a debate! I'm gonna stomp my feet!"

Maybe he should have stayed. Maybe it was like when Chris Rock drops the mic after a performance. I don't know. It sure stuck in Arlen's craw though.

5. I am so proud of Feingold!
I watched it live with my teens, and then we had dinner so I'm just now catching up to the discussion.

I think he did a magnificent job. II have no illusions about how the repuke senate will deal with this, but I wish Feingold was our president.

74. A lot of people have bought into this notion, and I think it speaks
to some sort of mindset. I say that, because, in a recent conversation with my dad, who is in his 70s and a military retiree, kept throwing that one out at me as an excuse for pretty much everything Bush & Co. do. This notion of undermining the president's authority during war time is real big with him. Maybe it's a military thing, maybe it's an old man thing, or an authoritarian conservative mindset thing. I tell you, it reminds me of my childhood all over with my dad, "You'll do as I say...now...because I told you to!" GGGRRRRrrrrr. I hate that.

Feingold Draws Little Support for Censure

WASHINGTON - Democrats distanced themselves Monday from Wisconsin Sen. Russell Feingold's effort to censure President Bush over domestic spying, maneuvering to prevent a vote that could alienate voters. Republicans dared Democrats to vote for the proposal.
