Anybody know about CA election processes? March 10 filing deadline?

Looking for way around March 10 filing deadline. I'm almost certain I'm SoL, but just wondering, since on the Secretary of State website's list of candidates, while most are March 10, some have their "Declaration of Candidacy" dates as after the 10th, which was supposedly the deadline.

Looking to challenge an emptying Repug seat in assembly. The asshole late last week stated he was running for US Congress, leaving only 2 days for people to scramble to file for his seat, if March 10 is indeed firm.

ANY help would be greatly apprecaited!
