NORFOLK, Va. - Television evangelist Pat Robertson said Monday on his live news-and-talk program "The 700 Club" that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that radical Muslims are "satanic."

Robertson's comments came after he watched a news story on his Christian Broadcasting Network about Muslim protests in Europe over the cartoon drawings of the Prophet Muhammad.

He remarked that the outpouring of rage elicited by cartoons "just shows the kind of people we're dealing with. These people are crazed fanatics, and I want to say it now: I believe it's motivated by demonic power. It is satanic and it's time we recognize what we're dealing with."

Robertson also said that "the goal of Islam, ladies and gentlemen, whether you like it or not, is world domination."

Shame they're having so much difficulty. Yup, a crying shame.

This man boycots anything that disagrees with his religion and now he has a problem with that behavior.

And, has proved he's right on that score. Hallelujah! Pass the basket.

Islam means submission to God. A Muslim is to be modest in his/her dress, to practice acts of charity and kindness, to forgive and forgive again. Funny, but I've been called a "good Christian" by many who don't know my faith; I take it as a compliment, as the Teachings are the Teachings-they just come via a different messenger.

I find it interesting that Rev. Robertson condemns an entire faith by the actions of a few radicals; I wonder if he would consider it fair if a non-Christian did the same thing with Christianity?

Oh BTW, the "world domination" thing is way overblown. We Sufis aren't even allowed to try and convert anyone, and we're a peaceful lot, by and large. Our way of "domination" is to make friends with everyone, to be tolerant of everyone, "....making the whole of humanity as one single family in the Parenthood of God."

Let history decide who's correct. (hint: it's me)

I do NOT understand how anyone can take such comments seriously ..... a clear case of 'pot calling kettle black'

that graven image thing? After all, it is in the Ten Commandments.
Yet when the Islamists, and not all should be painted as radical, protest these cartoons, that most people previously knew to be a sensitive subject, they are condemned by his selective judgment.

Not necessarily to be confused with Orthodox Christianity :hi:

But the New Testament is very, very clear: You are either with Christ and therefore with God, or you are with Satan.
