2. It's not like her campaign was going anywhere
Edited on Tue Mar-14-06 12:15 PM by fujiyama
Nelson was beating her by comfortable margins in most polls.

Any idea who may replace her? Who's a strong repuke challenger to Nelson?

I have to agree with others that it would have been nice to see Ms. Cruela get beaten.

5. Troubling on a couple of counts
first and most obviously, Harris is an easy target for us to defeat in Florida so her continued presence in the race would be a plus....

second, I can't believe the Republican leadership would pressure her to get out of the race unless they knew they had a stronger, more viable candidate to replace her...

JEB anyone?

8. Nice bit of thanks she's getting from her Republican overlords...
GOP leaders have urged Harris to get out of the race, saying she cannot win and that her role as Florida's secretary of state during the 2000 presidential recount could drive Democrats and independents to the polls in droves.

"Wham, bam, thank you for stealing the election for us, Ma'm. Now please go away."

No honor among thieves.

14. Seems the GOP has been trying
to get rid of her since the 2000 election/sham. She just won't go. She's not a very bright one, is she?

11. Harris running in FL would have the same effect as those Gay Marriage
proposals in 04. In an off-year election, Florida reps could be swept out of office.
