So, I'm walking through Westlake Center in Seattle on Saturday

and there's a pretty large crowd milling about. There's a guy banging some buckets in a rhythmic fashion, another guy calling for the end of the world, and a couple of people handing out little tiny fliers about Bush and his crimes.

The bucket banger had a very interested crowd, the soothsayer had a dozen interested onlookers, but not a single person was paying the flyer-hander-outers any attention.

I took a flyer, turned it over, and wrote www.democraticunderground.com on the back of it and handed it back. She was really surprised that there's a website where like-minded people can get together and organize more effective campaigns of getting the information out there.

So, I'm expecting a marked improvement on the quality of these information campaigns in Westlake Center. We've at least got to give the bucket banger a run for his money.

Now the Republicans will say the Dems are using homeless people for cheap advertising. What's next, writing on the backs of the has beens in celebrity boxing, celebrity dancing, or celebrity skating. OMG.:rofl:

for PIRG getting signatures on the street, I write down the address for DU on a piece of paper and give it to them. Most seem surprised, as if they had NO idea there was a site for disgruntled, active liberal Dems.
