Remembering the Iraq War's Pollyanna pundits
Edited on Wed Mar-15-06 06:12 PM by genie_weenie
As Iraq continues to grind on and the (never again, finally crushed) specter of Vietnam rears it's head.

I think it's always time we remind ourselves at the joy which is the computer age.

We owe it to the current 2313KIA, 17,000WIA Americans and the 100,000+ Iraqis...

edit: As was pointed out Iraq has deserts and Vietnam has jungles. But they both have pronoun named rivers the MeKong and Euphrates.

3. Amazing, isn't it
I read those quotes and I am embarrassed for the people who uttered them.

4. I hate these people.
And now three years later, all of this goes right down the memory hole.

6. one of my favorite
"We're proud of our president. Americans love having a guy as president, a guy who has a little swagger, who's physical, who's not a complicated guy like Clinton or even like Dukakis or Mondale, all those guys, McGovern. They want a guy who's president. Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It's simple. We're not like the Brits."
