We see people every day, all over the blogosphere crying out for some leadership on the illegal NSA wiretaps. They're dying for it. Nobody even seemed to realize there was a void to be filled, and not because we didn't mention it. Feingold had to do something drastic to shake them up.

Sorry if he disturbed anyone's peaceful slumber, but we have a serious problem here.

Send the "Hit Parade List" to your Senators - Dems and Repubs - and ask them "Are they going to continue to support a criminal or begin upholding the law and defending Our Constitution?"

The most successful terrorist in America today is Bush - he's just about destroyed everything that is America, excepting one crucial part of it - the "We the People ..." who will not relent until he is brought to justice for his crimes.

2. Isn't it just amazing that we even have to push them on this issue. My
friend called earlier and said she heard a caller suggesting that perhaps because of the * administration's wiretapping they are blackmailing the Dems into silence.

3. That's Jane's and Glenn's and many other folks issue, as well. Why, ...
... oh Why, do they have to be pushed!! Everyone of them should have been all over this issue, and numerous others, 24/7.

If they don't want to be victims of "RW spin," "Rove talking points," "RW media," ... blah, blah, blah, ... then they should learn how to grad the damn microphone and not give it back -- that's what the repukes have been doing since 1993.

They should turn C-SPAN into the most exciting "reality TeeVee" in the world - for starters.

If they'd work with all the fantastic graphics artists, video artists, and other media experts in the blogosphere, they'd could have a messaging machine that would displace the complicit corporate media in short order.

Just look at Bush's and Cheney's numbers, as is. I'd say their corporate media buddies are already failing to suppress the stench emanating from the White House.

Just imagine what their numbers would be if every Dem in the House and the Senate conducted themselves like Conyers and a few others persistently do.

Just imagine.

Even Rove + Diebold couldn't defraud another election.

5. I am getting tired of apologists who contend that perhaps this is part of
a master strategy. Yeah, yeah, I fell for that one for a while after the '04 election, but not this time. Waiting for them to self implode? Explain that to the masses who are effected daily by the immoral, inhumane, unelected, cold-blooded regime.

6. Exactly. We don't need "chess masters" -- we need Leaders. And, for now ..
... that's gotta be us - "We the People ...".

8. "On hemmed-in ground, resort to stratagem. On desperate ground, FIGHT."
Exactly, Tfc.

And, they better do it quickly if we're to have any hope of restoring the Republic.

9. Digby: "This image of "powerlessness" at a time when the Republicans are
... on the ropes is the biggest problem we face for the fall elections. If Democratic pols don't understand that they are flirting with terrible grassroots defeatism, then they are going to lose. They must take action (and I don't mean boring press conferences and 10 point plans) or it won't matter a damn if the Republicans are on the ropes --- demoralized Democrats are not going to bother with them. Come on. Speak for us. If not now, when?

Armando offers his perspective:

Jane Hamsher offers a "visual clue" (aka perspective) and the invitation to discuss at firedoglake:

I think it's rather obvious. We're confronted with a neoconster organization committed to destroying Our Constitution, Our Republic as it pursues, currently unchecked, a plan to control the world's few remaining resources.

Do we allow them to prevail is the question.

11. dKos: "Frameshop: Feingold Frames Debate, GOP Takes The Bait"
Frameshop: Feingold Frames Debate, GOP Takes The Bait
by Jeffrey Feldman

Thu Mar 16, 2006 at 07:36:27 AM PDT

As of 9:00am March 16, 2006, I am proud to announce that the Republican Party no longer controls the National Security debate.

That's right. While the media is foaming at the mouth at what they think was a huge blunder in calling for the censure of the President, and while many in the blogosphere are crying in their beer at the caution of the Senate Democrats, Russ Feingold has managed to hammer in the last nail in the GOP coffin.

Feingold has framed the debate, and the GOP has taken the bait...

Much more at the link:

Interesting analysis.
