Question - How many times was the debt ceiling raised during Clinton?

I know it's been raised twice by Bush.


I'm currently in discussions with a freeper that claims the financial #'s have always been fudged even during Clinton's years, and there never was a surplus. I know some of what he says is true, but not all.

What matters is what is happening now.....the government is broke....the rich are getting richer and the rest of the country is getting poorer...

For a total of 1.6 trillion dollars over eight years. So far under Bush* with GOP Congress it has been raised five times for a total of 2.3 trillion dollars. Almost double Clinton's and still three more years to go. The National Debt is now rising at over $100,000.00 a second Under Clinton it was beginning to be paid down.
