The perfect illustration of why the Dems will keep losing (Video)

The following Daily Show segment features Ed Helms interviewing Paul Hackett and establishment Professional Democratic Loser Hank Sheinkopf on why Hackett is bad for the party.

One of the best lines I've ever heard was when Professional Democratic Loser Sheinkopf was explaining why the Democrats should just sit around quietly issuing no challenges or alternatives while Bush and the Republicans supposedly injure themselves. Ed Helms replied:

"I got mugged the other day. And this bum was beating me with a bottle. And I said, 'You know what? I'm gonna sit back and wait for him to accidentally hit himself with the bottle.' Sure enough, he did. Of course I was unconscious, but I think I won that battle."

he could have raised a ton of money from the internet and left wing organizations to be competitive. Yes there was pressure for him to get out of the race so the Dems could unite behind one candidate just as there was pressure on Specter's opponent in '04 in the GOP primaries to drop out--but he stayed in and raised a lot of money from conservative groups and nearly defeated Specter in the primary. In the end he made the decision to drop out.

They will reign until no semblance of modern
civilization remains. .

In 2000, 2002, 2004, and again now in 2006.

If we don't come back in 2006 we will still be around, just less happy. It will take years to erode this civilization.

These gloom and doom prophesies hell is coming don't do anything to help anyone and ring similar to how the republicans run their party elections. "If you don't elect a republican, your farm animals will be married to homosexuals"

In each of those elections we have lost ground.
There are only so many games in a set.

I still wish Hackett would get back in the Senate race.
